What You Should Expect AFTER A Ketamine Infusion

In this video, Dr. Ko outlines what you can expect after a ketamine infusion. If you're considering ketamine therapy, understanding the post-treatment landscape is crucial. Dr. Ko covers:
1. Fatigue and Tiredness: Common feelings post-infusion, akin to returning from a journey.
2. Nausea and Dizziness: Potential side effects based on the ketamine dose.
3. Vulnerability: The possible surfacing of deep emotions or repressed memories.
4. Confusion and Uncertainty: Insights into the unexpected experiences and their meanings.
5. Inspiration and Peace: The positive emotional states that may emerge.
6. Introspection: Reflections and realizations following the infusion.
7. Individual Experiences: Emphasizing the unique nature of each person's reaction post-treatment.
Dr. Ko emphasizes the importance of preparation, rest before the session, and having a support system or integration practices ready for after the infusion. Whether you experience confusion, peace, or deep introspection, every reaction serves a purpose in your healing journey.

My youngest sister and Brother has Huntington Chorea. My Brother has been using ECT treatment for many years. And his responsen are very positive. My sister has ever tried ECT treatment - so maybe this is more safe and better for her - than Ketamine treatment?

Glad to hear your brother has had positive responses to ECT treatment. ECT and ketamine therapy are different treatments with different mechanisms of action, i.e. ways of working. Each person’s medical history is unique and if your sister is considering ketamine therapy vs ECT, it would be best to get a consultation with a ketamine specialist to see if it would be a good fit for her. Best wishes.

Thank you for Your response. The reason I was asking about Your opinion was because what you said about the side effects of Ketamine treatment. And that's why I am sceptic to let my sister try Ketamine treatment. ECT treatment is more safe, I think. I would like to hear Your personal opinion about Ketamine and ECT. Thank you.

I think ketamine is safer. ECT sounds scary to me.

Good evening Doctor, could I benefit from ketamine therapy if I come from another country? I live in France but would be ready to save money and come a few weeks in the US to benefit from a ketamine therapy...

Each person’s medical history is unique. Therefore it would be best to get a consultation to see if ketamine therapy would be a good fit. If you go to askp.org you’ll find a directory of clinics across the US where you can schedule a consultation. If you’re interested in coming to California, you’re welcome to arrange a consultation at our clinic as well - www.resetketamine.com/consultation . Take care!
