Looting is way easier bro . Take this trick , downgrade your trophies around 300 and then gain trophies before the next star bonus comes up . In this process gain good loot .

For me its still fun since you can attack anytime unlike in regular village in which you have to train units and is kinda bad to attack most of the time since it can decrease your shield

The upgrade prices are NUTS with the bullshit loot we get. I have to farm for several days to a week to afford a single lab upgrade or hero

When I first played the new BB, I was very excited by more strategic attacks and abilities stuff but when I got to know that to enjoy it at full potential, it would cost me much resources and time as well. So now it's like just get the 6th Builder and watch the full potential at KZread, I guess.

Personally I think the problem is that outside of the 6th builder the builder base does not benefit the home village whatsoever, and I would assume most players mostly care about home village progress excluding the 6th builder. My personal suggestion would be to add some extra requirements to the max clock tower, and once you get it, the clock tower affect extends to the home village.

It would be interesting something like "Night troops" exactly like the super ones, maybe that way, people would at least play or upgrade one thing more than the 6th builder, maybe the idea of wars or a clan involved activity within the builder base.... Imagine a Builder League? New bases and a sort of cc ??

Why the hell would you waste elixir upgrading the giants when your goal was/is the 6th builder?😂 Even if you reach a higher league it's not even close to be worth it just upgrade cannon cart (now just any troop) and save all the elixir for your heroes.

I've always viewed the builder base as a mini base to work on while all builders are busy in the main base Now, due to the upgrade times being so much longer, it no longer has that charm to it. It was very sly of them to give us two builders, something we already had the option to have, just to increase upgrade times by more than double.

I miss the old version to I’ve lost nearly 600 trophies since attacking bc I can’t make a base effective enough and no matter what army I use it doesn’t do much better

I think players who already max their th 9 bases before the 2.0 version and having higher trofies are enjoying because the players who did not max yet are suffering to get 6 stars from max opponents and it is really hard to get sufficient loot also

And since attacks feel longer for small loot amounts, it really takes some motivation to go and grind it, not to mention time investment with already Capital raids, Cwl, Clan games, main village... It would be fine if only the builder base was THE game, but it's a game within a game within a game. Players will prioritize, the clan and the main village always in my opinion. Unless they connect it to the main village somehow.

No one is getting 6 stars regularly, i am Max bh9 but still struggling to get even 3 stars. But that doesn't mean i am not enjoying game or getting less loot

I think they should increase the time you have when you attack, because you don't really have time to be very strategical.

you have a whole minute to strategize for each base, the actual attack is 2 minutes per base, if they gave more cannon carts and flying-copter would be even more overpowered

You get 4 minutes total to destroy the same number of buildings so if anything you have more time to destroy each building

It definitely felt like home base was very strategic and and builder base was very casual. I very much like spamming a ton of units and seeing the chaos that unfolds so I really loved builder base but now it feels like builder base is more like the home village and now there isn't that mix of very casual and more strategic.

09:20 Exactly. I think they should add a system where we can have an upgrade to the already existing forge once we get to a higher level bh. We should be able to melt bh gold and elixer to get dark elixer to main village. Also some sort of system where we can transfer a reasonable amount of our bh troops into our main village troops in clan war attacks(only in cwl wars). Some dude also commeted that bh clock tower should affect main village too once it reaches a high level, and I think that would be awesome. Anyway great video JO.❤️

From what I read, 2.0 got about 70% disapproval if not higher

I feel like a big problem with the new builder hall update is that they can put you against a higher builder hall and since there is no skipping your stuck with it and then your usually stuck with a lower percentage.

You can just play down a hero and skip those. It's better to lose trophies than time while grinding resources.

I actually noticed the spring trap thing the other day too. After looking at all the troop weights, spring traps now only bounce archers, barbarians and drop ship skeletons. Definitely a strange change and unless they change that I wouldn’t recommend anybody spending resources on them

There's too many springtraps on a base for them to be able to just one shot one sixth of your army (be it a canon cart, giant or night witch). However it's strange they don't bounce hogs and bombers even at max level

Old bh system was way more fun. Now it feels more like a chore. Also some of the competitiveness is gone with the way the matches are structured. It went from fun to unfun

My problem is that I really really like this update actually, but I do not benefit in my home village as you said. That is my own personal opinion and preference. I could live with this being hard to get loot and not being leveled up so fast. But if I don’t benefit from it towards my home village, I will get bored with it over time. And I think that’s the reality of missy players, might be wrong but I am speaking for myself

I do not enjoy the split loot system (Elixir from defending only). I also feel like troops die too fast by the time we reach second base in most scenarios. Edit: Also as a F2P player, kinda sucked that we had to upgrade the healing hut from scratch. It really sucks having troops that start low in the 2nd phase.

I tried to rush to BH9 to unlock 6th builder and got to the halfway point and the thing I hate the most that Cannon Carts are just 50/50 unit and it' ability to turn into mortar is so... I don't even know the word, but I'd say dumb. So, Baby Dragon gets to have 2 abilities (Tantrum and Burst of Fire), but cannon cart literally just changes modes... The only thing worth doing is now upgrading the barracks to unlock pekkas and hogs to spam the bases, since previously many were focusing on getting the 6th builder.

@@deblxdee Cannon Carts are better than ever. Even having 1 of them alive along with Hero & Bomber makes 2nd phase very much doable (I'm BH7). So I suggest to look for more strats on KZread.

@@Determ1nat1on nope they still are trash they are now nothing compared to before is say this out of experience bc lvl 18 canon cart spam could get you 2 stars and would also destroy maxed bases but know they are trash, my army before the update was canon cart spam which was very strong because i was a rushed base now im going to upgrade my nightwitches which seem the only cheap viable options, the baby dragon might also be good but i want to upgrade nightwitches first

I miss the old builder base I just wish they gave us more ways to earn loot

When the otto or master builder has maxed out all buildings (certain conditions) the builder base, could move them to the home village. And when there is an update related the builder base, both will have to finish the unfinished work in the home village and by default they have to return to the builder base.

Timing and troop strength are major issues in BH Base 2.0

I don't like this new update. I think they changed way to much. Nothing works like it worked earlier. Pekka dies very easy. Cannon cart is almost usless untill you have specific case. Barbarians and archers are too small number of units per camp with just a little bit more hp. Also, Giants are usless too. Time for upgrades is way too much expended and loot isn't good if you don't start really grinding it.

@@A.Weirdo.I.Guess000 you can spam till some point then if you want to go further, you need to think about what ar you doing. You can spam on 3k but 4-5k and more, if you just spam, that would be barely one star or two if you are lucky.

Your right all we need is just they remove the versus attack but add find attack that's all I I'm excited about this update but now nah

I think that they should make the battle machine or battle copter upgradable with gold because elixir now is harder to get and most people really focus more on upgrading troops and machines

I feel like the loot has always been an issue with the builder base. before you had a strict limit on how much loot you could earn, and now without the cap the loot they give is miniscule.

Since Raid medals worked well to link the capital and the main base. maybe they can add it as an extra resource you gain when completing the star bonus and the amount increases depending on your league (maybe from 10-20 raid medals in the lowest league per day to 100 per day in the highest league). also it would probably have to be renamed to something that fits both the builder base and the clan capital

As a extremely rushed BH9 player who only spammed cannon carts and just tried to get the 6th builder, I found the update really annoying at first because I needed one more hero and my troops are all at low level to attack and I actually needed to think before attacking, I am starting to like the update more and more because of that. Even though my main goal is still the 6th builder, I think the changes are really good aside the low amount of loot you gain.

I love the new bulider base, altough I wish that attacks would grant players equal amount of gold from attacking and equal amount of elixir for defending. Also, you can cancel Bomber's animation by clicking his skill right after he throws the normal bomb, so you will throw 2 bombs in 2 seconds with nearly no delay

The upgrade times seem to be balanced around having 5 builders in the builder base.

The impression I have with builder base 2.0 is that there could be (Or they plan to have ) another update to have BH wars. I thought this because I saw that the clan settings recruiting requirements have included the BH trophy level and BH base level. The attacking having to be more strategic if you want 6 stars is great, same with your defenses earning more elixir if it was solid. I would love to have BH Wars, it would encourage not rushing BH as well. I’m stuck wanting to rush to get 6th Builder but maxing my BH6 at moment with this anticipation in mind.

It's fun, I went from 5k to 5840 trophies since the new release but it still has alot of issues. Biggest one is 'losing connection'. Made me lose lots of trophies, very frustrating. Besides that I enjoy it, too bad spam attacks (Pekka and Baby dragon) are still meta. But it's only fun for now, once everyone is maxed again bb will be dead content again, it doesn't reward anything.

In the lower levels (bh 6) everyone just puts all traps and defences the game allows on stage 1 so its nearly impossible to get to stage 2

I like the way they curated the update But completely disappointed by how they ignored 90% of their player base is casual players From the very 1st blog about BB2.0 it was sure that the update would over complicate the BB And I would side myself with that, along with the bad loot system

I now play more builder base than the normal base because of how fast-paced it's become. There's just a few problems like slow matchups and loot acquisition, which take more than 10 matches to fill up my storages.

They really said they wanted to bring back strategy to it, and now you have so few troops you just have to spam what you have and hope

Great video Jo! You summarised all of our issues in a 10 minute video. I agree with all of the players and I hope clash of clans listens to the players' feedback and improve the things that the players want to change. I hope people won't quit playing builder base because imo it's very fun and you have something to do while waiting for your army to be ready.

I think the re design is better for the game. I also think there's no incentive for someone that's already got their 6th builder to play it.. the only time I'll give it a shot is for my seasonal task or clan games.

As someone who spent days building my base in the original version and planned on my expansions between levels the split up messed with me too

In my opinion i think they should add a practice system kinda like in the home village but instead of just showing you exactly what you should do it should show you what is good against what and it should also show you what to look for when using specific troops. This would make it easier for people to understand how the troops work more and when to use them rather than just spamming one or placing different ones in random positions where they will do nothing and fail. I think this will make people more happy about attacking and almost make it easier so people have more fun with it and actually know what to do

@@ashlinthomas4500 half the units are more useless and die very quickly. Hogs take 2 per defense and dies in 3 seconds to any double cannon, large Tesla, hammer, 2 archer towers, or 2 canons. You don't get as many units and their stats doesn't match up with the loads of traps. Only decent units are archers, pekkas, and might witches. Canon Motor range is glitched, units abilities glitched, connection issues glitch, crash in the middle of battle glitch to top it off. It needs heavy fixing. Also, noticed a certain defense nobody can get thru with mega Tesla in the middle with the reinforcement camp surrounded in walls in the middle while surrounding that with air defenses. This mode is not good at all.

5:20 you are 100% right I think they should add some more incentive to play builder base and link it up with the main base! Also very true about loot being extremely hard to get, especially elixir (I am finding gold goes up a little faster, but you still need to make a ton of attacks. I did find a bit of an exploit however, if you aren't too fussed about trophies, you can put a hero in, leave and then repeat. By doing this you can have about 8 or 9 defences running live in parallel. This makes elixir go up relatively fast!

I prefered the old bb.The only thing that needed to be changed was the attacking system.Just imagine that you attack just one base like the old bb but with this new loot system instead of versus battles.For me is just too hard to get even 3 stars on the first stage.The only thing that I like in this update is the new bh 10 content

I would say it's a skill issue I very rarely fail to get the first 3 stars even without trying 🤣

As a player who had maxed his bh9 few months ago, i feel like the current update is okayish at best. Most players who were above 3700 trophies never won battels just by doing spam. Loot is less then before. It just needed the bh10 update not a whole new village and make it way more complicated. Nothing will change as people will play for sometime then stop it like before. It was never spammy for higher trophies and was just an escape from home village a place bit easier where you relax or chill. And i agree with you untill builder base doesn't give something to main base most people wouldn't bother about it

I'm a f2p almost maxed BH5 base and currently upgrading to BH6 and all I can say is that this update is game-changing. I've been stuck with BH5 since the builder base debut and it was extremely hard to loot since I keep getting opponents at a higher builder hall level than me which made me quit the game 5 years ago. Upgrading time is too long and it was impossible to attack without a level 5 battle machine (which would require immense loot again). This update made it extremely fun and the amount of loot that I get now is astoundingly generous. Definitely a 10/10 update at least for me.

I’ve been max BB with the 6th builder in the 5K trophy range for years. I was excited about BB 2.0 just because it was new.. but that excitement quickly went away when seeing the upgrade times for BH10 and the extra army camp with the low loot levels. “What’s the point” replaced the excitement because it feels like there’s nothing to play for given the lack of connection to the home village. Definitely needs to be something more to it to make the grind to remax feel worth it

I like that you're calling out the issues compared to other KZreadrs who doesn't say anything bad about the update because Supercell might fire them

they should make the loot based more on the town hall level you beat, like attacking highter town halls gives more loot than if you attack same/lower town halls, also make the leagues give magic items at hight level league, like getting wall rings at highter leagues would be very usefull

I think it would help us upgrade our builder bases too, if we could bring the 6th builder over the the builder base like we could before. So we'll instead have 3 builders in the builder base, and then with a loot upgrade, that'd be really good

My only criticism is that theres nothing stopping a person from just loading all their best defenses in front and making it really difficult to even go to the second base. I feel like a "heavy defense cap" should be done for those 1 count structures to force you to split them up in both bases ar least a little bit.

I only started playing coc again recently and I had a maxed out bh7 (except walls). I was in the process of rushing the 6th builder when 2.0 was announced. I was using both builders to fix the rushing so the upgrade times sucks. I don't have the skill yet to pull 200% with canon carts (my only lvl18 troop) and giants (lvl16) and I always get at least 120% with 7 lvl13 PEKKAs so there's that. Grinding the 4M elexir for the 8th camp on top of fixing the rushed troops levels (13 PEKKA, 12 baby drag, 11 dropships, 15 hog glider because those troops look like they're the most important), the healing camp and the battle copter is such a pain.

It would be better if it were easier to push trophies, and more loot would be nice.

You really need like 20 attacks to upgrade a crusher in bh6 That made it way too hard The loot bonus is less than what we got in bb1.0 And trying to keep 2 builder occupied with this little loot? Hell nah

I like having a much more strategic system for the Builder Base, the resources are an issue for me too, and I'm struggling to figure out a base layout, but over all I think it's good, but not perfected yet

Honestly BB2.0 feels like it removed the charm from builder base. The different units and the cool abilities, alongside the 5 segment walls made for a unique experience different from the Home Village. Now, it feels like a seperate home village and nothing special anymore.

So far I’ve been really enjoying the new update, especially attacking and being more strategic about it. I could definitely use a bit more loot though 😅 Also kinda difficult to climb trophies but that may be because I’m a rushed BH10 lol

I love builder hall 2.0! Just need a bit of tweaking when it comes to the loot and maybe troops. My guess is that Supercell won't release a new builder hall level as frequent as in the home village. So I feel like the cost and time for upgrades are reasonable since it would get less fun after you get maxed.

I enjoy the new update. I like the cannon cart a lot. I just got upset because I had used a lot of shovel of obstacles to decorate my builder base. Now all obstacles are gone and replaced with new one and I didn’t get any shovels to compensate me.

i like the idea of anytime loot system , i could get builder exiler on attacking and coins on defending , so i can update my builder machine copter faster. bcoz my base is rush and im facing difficulty on defending, and TIP- spam is still working (baby dragon and power p.e.k.k.a)

I don't know why but in the middle of attack suddenly there comes the WiFi signal and I have to again load the game even though my WiFi signal is powerful

Really good video! I'm still on the fence about the new BB system. I voted meh, yesterday; but I'm willing to give it a shot.

Perfectly said at 5:30, th other alternative to them making it useful to main base would be to make it actually fun somehow. Till then I’ll play during clan games and that’s it. Got my 6th builder almost immediately when that was an option.

I actually think it's pretty fun so far, but the biggest issue is the catching up we have to do at the start. With the healing hut, battlecopter, and second reinforcement camp either being weak/not built at the start, it makes attacking very difficult at BH 9. More specifically, I think the biggest misstep was the fact that they made the second reinforcement camp takes 10 whole days to build, and I'm a free to play player so I have to wait for a long time being really underpowered. At BH 9 it almost isn't possible to get the 6 star without the second reinforcement camp; I've only managed to do it once and have gotten really close a ton of times, so knowing that I would've gotten the 6 star if I had the second reinforcement camp feels really bad.

I really like the fact that it doesnt feel like the standard mobile game thing anymore. I like that you can play however much you want, because on one day i'll want to play 10 games but on the next day i dont feel like doing 10 but only 2. This was very annoying because playing more than 3 a day felt like a waste and playing less than 3 felt like you missed out.

I DESPISE THE UPDATE LET ME EXPLAIN: I had a level 8 builder base with THE MOST ARTISTIC BUILDER BASE LAYOUT ON ALL OF CLASH ROYAL. I HAVE PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE. THIS UPDATE DELETED MY BUILDER BASE LAYOUT AND SCRATCHED MY ENTIRE BASE WITH THE UNRECOVERABLE COSMETIC DECORATIONS! I DID NOT HAVE A SQUARE BASE!!!!!!!! I HAD THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BUILDER BASE!

I love the new battle system, I love the new way the troops work now. Also the fact where spring traps don't work on most troops is awesome because if you have so few troops and they just get randomly deleted, it's not a good thing. I think they should've never been added in the first place. Of course the loot and building time situation isn't the best but overall I think this update is really cool.

I think a good way to link the builder base and the main base is if you would attack in the builder base, you would not just get builder base loot. You would get builder base loot and the normal loot

There should be a system like we can exchange our Resources between two villages. or We can bring some super troops from Builder base to Home villages.

Everything feels weaker, the loot you get is pitiful, strategic placement of units feels even more pointless now that everything is so weak; you can’t put one giant and a cannon cart on one side of the base and flood the other side because it’s a third of your army now not just a third of 2 army camps

Overall, I really enjoy the update. I like how it gives me something to do while my home base heroes are upgrading (mass baby dragons or sneaky goblins can get old quick). Overall, I think most players complaints can be linked to how new BB 2.0 is. However, I will agree that the loot bonuses are too low and troops could use some balancing (ie. More troops per camp for barch and minions). But overall, I do really enjoy it so far.

the only way that resources currently cross over from the builder base is the gem mine (which is slow but it's something at least), and the capital gold forge. The main problem though is that the forge needs 2.4 mil of the builder base resources, which is quite a lot imo

I have Rushed Builder Hall 9 and I've using Clash Ninja's Builder Tab Require Builder Hall Upgrade level feature to complete upgrades by builder hall levels. I've complete Builder 3 and 4 upgrade requirements now I'm up to Builder Hall 5 upgrades.

I definitely think B.Base 2.0 was a really good direction and starting point for improvement. My most favourite part is the removal of the head-to-head system which now makes the pacing much more consistent and fair. I do agree that the loot could be increased a little more, but the major cut of downtime between attacks I think more than makes up for that (though I've already seemed to have run out of storage :/)... Most of the troops I think are pretty cool as well as it looks like SuperCell overhauled to the troops to lean more towards their abilities which makes attacks more strategic and active. However, some troops do feel like they are carried by their abilities too well with the sacrifice of being a bit too brittle against higher DPS defences. This is further the case with troops with only a passive ability (Barbs, Archers, Etc.) are outclassed quickly by troops like C.Carts who're much more efficient in funneling, sniping, and damage. My biggest nit-pick with the update is I rarely get attacks from my oppenents which exceed 2 stars because it's insanely easy to just have an inpenetrable 1st base and any attacker's will've already exhausted most of their troops and/or their abilities. It makes the 2nd base feel a lot more like a 'Bonus-stage' that something worth protecting over... Overall, I'd say, for being a major overhaul of what was admittedly a gamemode which got boring easily due to the meta of spamming and a tedious ranking system, B.Base 2.0 are good stepping stones but not without some prominent flaws like the wierd balancing of troops and defences. Although I can see the problems I mentioned being a much greater issue for B.Halls lower than 8 which DEFINITLEY needs some addressing...

I don't like it because of the low troop amount and the fact that they deleted my old base

I feel the same with trophies, mostly I can stick in the 2600-2700 range but once ever maybe 5-10 defences randomly one or two people will 6 star me out of nowhere and I feel like I just got reset. It’s a trickle and then I just get slammed again. Where someone will use mostly all of one type of troop or whatever and you ask « how do I even defend that.. »

Overall better, but could still use work. Glad we have 2nd bh builder at bh6. I still run rushed till max level. The only part I don't rush is offence. My alt account bh7 has good defence, but it gets really spammy to gain elixir for offence/storage upgrades. Loot could be increased a bit. Upgrade timers could be adjusted down as well.

I love the new builder base, but I also loved the old one. I like how you can just pass time doing attacks without much negative consequences for your progress, unlike the main village. The only thing i miss from the old base is the 1v1 were you are incentivize to watch the other attack. I do think that it wasn’t good in the original BB but i miss that highly 1v1 in this version. Maybe a hybrid would work 🤔

My problem is that the troops are now auto upgraded to a certain level , but if you want to upgrade then further in the lab you are still upgrading them from 0 until you match the level they have been auto upgraded too.

For me the Builder base was like *Play this to get the 6th builder* . After that I never looked at the builder base again. I agree with your opinion as well, where we need some connection between Home and builder base. Also, now the builder base is more complicated than ever... It's now time consuming as well as stressful to attack. Maybe some people like it (new players) , but I've been playing this for more than 5 years and I only focus on the main village.

I think the trophy system is really cool. Love the artwork. I also really like the abilities that make it more strategic. People gotta practice a bit more to really push. I think that’s appropriate

I like the new update. I think it's an improvement over the old style. They've tried something new and different and that's a good thing. You can't fix a problem if you aren't willing to try new things when looking for a solution. I do wish the builder potions worked in the builder base though, not just in the home base.

Re: low elixir from defence I found that it doesn't matter if you don't get a lot if you have a critical mass of defences going on all the time. Start a match, drop battle machine, drop pekkas, close app, reopen app, repeat My base is pretty bad, and I'm at both the gold and elixir cap, and the elixir cart cap too

I am sort of casual with 23 bases. Used the old BB mostly to do clan games due to no cost for troops. Now home base troops cost zero as well. You touched on most of the problems with new upgrade. I think that maybe they should link the gold reward to percentage and not stars. Really frustrating to get the same loot for a 54% 2 star as for a 99% two star. I will have to learn new strategies for attacking. New cannon cart sucks. What is the purpose of mortar ability if towers and cannons outrange it especially with the reduction in damage when in that mode.

I personally like this new concept of attacking. It’s more engaging and requires a lot more strategy than the previous builder base. However, like what most people are talking about, the loot gained is pretty sad. Especially the gold. I would like to see more loot rewarded for attacks. Also I feel like the upgrade times for the higher level buildings have become a little too lengthy. I understand they added a second builder but still. Shortening the upgrade times a little bit will go a long way. I will clarify that I really enjoy this new type of attacking though. It’s very engaging Edit: Also, I think the battle copter definitely needs some reworking. It’s terrible😂😭

I absolutely love the nrw system, it's so much fun. It just needs loot recalibrated and a bit of rebalancing with some troops.

Yes Kenny i am rushed and still grinding heros almost done though lvl 15 baatle copter and battle machine is upgrading to lvl 26 the grind for loot is very tough 😖

Before this update I was continuesly upgrading my troop, but my reserch lab is empty since the update dropped. That explains the loot number. Also the system to attack to get defences doest really work, sometimes I cancel the search bcoz of long wait time and see some1 attacking 🤔

I think the update is great! Sure the loot is still not the best but I think that is a little exaggerated by the multiple new expensive buildings that are available

Why is builder base a thing? Also I can't 3 star anything at my level. Makes me want to find a new game

They need to connect it to the main base like weekend raids. Reward players with weekly medals to spend on resources and potions. One time buffs like the 6th builder or a clock tower boost for main village won't sustain the builder base.

I think that’s the loot is fine because you will end up getting plenty from the star bonuses while you’re waiting for the other upgrades to finish. In my opinion what they did with the update was really good. The only thing is maybe a little bit more gold on the attacks to match the elixir. I do agree though I think maybe the attacking is a little too complex for players even myself which makes it harder to push trophies

BB 2.0 honestly sucks in my opinion, all I do is lose trophies despite using either broken stats or switching builds multiple times. Why in god's name do I gain 14 trophies just for my defense to lose 50? Hm?? I've dropped 400 trophies these past 2 days alone bc of this dumb unbalanced shit.
