The Jadon will be harder to break in than the pascal for two reasons: 1) The thicker sole means it does not flex as much with each step meaning that it will take more steps for the leather to soften. 2) The leathers used on these two boots are not an apples to apples comparison as was pointed out in the video. The pascal's leather is not corrected grain and is also tumbled making it softer and more flexible out of the gate. The only real way to break in the Jadon or any of the other Docs which are made of corrected grain leather (the shiny, plasticy shit) is to wear it a lot. You can put conditioners on it, but it won't matter much. Endure and enjoy. I have the 1460 in Greasy leather. They took no time to break in and are super soft.

I just got a pair of jadons yesterday and here are my thoughts: They really aren't heavy to walk in. heavier than normal shoes but it isn't too bad. easy to walk in! i was expecting to have some trouble walking at first but i didn't at all as for the sizing, BUY THEM IN PERSON. my feet are a size 8 1/2 and I was certain that I would need to buy a 9 but when i tried them on, the 8 fit perfectly. if you absolutely cant try them on in person, then yes, they are true to size but i would size down if you are a half size.

it took me less than one week to break my jadon's in, right out of the box, i moisturize with leather conditioner and let it sit overnight and then get to work. i bend them in all directions, it'll take some elbow grease but just keep bending the shoes in every direction possible. i also stepped on them to bend them when my hands and arms got tired, it took me about 30 minutes. i wore it the next day with a minor sore pinky toes, so i just repeated the process and made sure i work the areas that were still stiff. it took twice for the jadon to feel comfortable, i walked over 5 miles in them the second week. Seroiusly trust this process!

I had the Pascal but I do not really like them. I much prefer the dark horse or the regular 1460 or the vegan 1460's. I have three different pairs.

I have the 1460 but I’m usually a 8.5 but I had to get a size 6 since one of my feet is a bit smaller than the other but I’m planning on getting the jadon pair but I don’t know if the sizing will be the same since they are more of a platform leather boot 🙃

I like your advice! And I bought the pascal ones, which normally I’m a 7.5 in shoes but got a 7 and I’ve been trying to break them in but they fit me fine from the front and back but just on the top, they bother me and mark at the top of my foot, do yk if that’s going to stretch out over time?

  • @luciadelreal

Yes they should stretch out over time also maybe wearing thin socks will help since you don’t have any problems with the front and back of boot!

Hmm they do run a little big. If your able to find them in store I would try them on before ordering online. I’m a 6.5 in all shoes and I prefer the .5 size for room. A 6 in jadens still had the room I needed that 6.5 provides for me. Hope that helped.

The thing i really don’t like is the company changed how the sole is built, recently bought a Pascal Bex pair and the sole is absolutely mediocre and cheap, they just put a freaking thin little piece of foam between the thick ass soles! And the Jadons are the same, It’s horrendously ridiculous for boots of high prices like this. And they started to use it in every single modern model, where is the bouncy sole they use to give in the shoes?
