how firm is the poron plate foam mount? poron isn't as firm as silicone like in the kbd67 lite, I'm worried the poron will rip if a key is pressed down too hard

It seemed robust enough in my testing and I didn't see a cause for concern in this regard. Also as the distance to the bottom case is just a couple of mm, the pcb will bottom out on the case floor before any real stress happens to the poron. Hope this makes sense :)

do you think a rubber o-ring mount would work on this? I dont like having foam between my pcb and plate

i don't think an o-ring will work as it will not protrude far enough past the assembly to sit on the bottom posts
