Great summary of TAC! One added point about registering: make sure your group signs up for the same knock time AND the same course. There are different shooting courses with varied levels of skill and distance. You’ll want to make sure you all are slotted for the same one. And for gear: be sure to pack a light jacket and boots in the event of rain. TAC happens rain or shine. I’ve been out on the mountain in the rain and still had a blast! Your last points about being friendly and making new friends is key! I’ve met the best people at TAC and have made new hunting buddies in the process. Great overview!
Also consider bringing: arrow lube and an arrow puller. Some targets are made with very dense material. lots of water...there are not many water stations on course. Vital if it is warm outside. sunscreen and bug spray
Finally a specific video. Thank you.
I'm from Ireland and would love to try one of these shoots.
Great video laying things out! I'm heading to my 1st TAC in Utah next week and am really relying on videos like this to get prepared. I enjoy your channel. Good clean content. Thank you and God Bless

Appreciate it!! I’ll see you in Utah!
Well done! Huge help for those that never shot a TAC.... Great info video!
Awesome video/post! I couldn't agree with you more about meeting peopke and networking. Our first (me and a buddy) shot with two other guys and we have shot together now for three years. EVRYONE at the TAC is like minded and friendly. Haven't met a "dingus" out on one of these yet. Great people having a blast doing the same thing you love to do. Kudos, thanks for the post. Hope to bump into you on a shoot. South Dakorta next year is the plan, we do Tenn each year - closest to home/Florida, have done Colorado, Pennsylvania, and Big Sky was few weeks ago. Awesome times!
Great info! Thanks
Great info thank you for sharing.
Well done !
First thing I noticed was your shirt!! Praise the Lord brother!!
Thanks for the great video. I will be going to the Oklahoma TAC this year. My first TAC, hopefully first annual. To say that I am excited, would be an understatement!!!

I will also be at the Oklahoma TAC and it’s my first time!
I've been watching people's posts & videos on TAC Utah. It looks incredible! Amazing! You guys are so lucky! I'm from the UK and I'd love to do come across the pond to shoot TAC. It would be a great way to shoot and explore your beautiful country at the same time 😮
Good stuff 👍🏻
Thanks for the info.! Can you tell me how it works if I show up alone? Will they place me in a group, like they do at the golf course? Or would I have to shoot the course solo?
I would assume they supply water so you can refill your containment of choice ???
Where can I get a tshirt just like this one?
How long does it take to complete a single course? Can you book mulitple nock times throughout the day?
Im wanting to go to TAC in Oklahoma this year. How much difference in each difficulty levels. Im currently doing the Leupold course, just tell me thats not a kiddie course. Should I try the more difficult level? Been shooting a while but not high level.

Courses have a description on the website. Difficulty is based on terrain, angled shots, and range of technical shots (for example: you'll have to sneak your shot between trees with a 5inch gap at 65 yards). But check the website for a description of the Leupold.
Hit the nail on the head. Great video.
Is it ok to shoot these events solo ?
I’ve been wanting to go to a tac event for a few years but find it hard to get anybody that has the time myself included to go. Is it a issue to shoot a course by yourself? Thanks for all the info you took the time to share. I think that answers a lot of questions.

No definitely not! I see a lot of solo shooters at events, and I promise by your next course you’ll have made a new friend to shoot with! Everyone is super friendly and a lot of people are willing to let you jump in with the group!

I went to tac vermont this year by myself and when I got to my first course I asked the group in front of me if I could join then and they gladly let me and long story short I ended up shooting all weekend with them and made some new friends to shoot again with next year

So what if you don't have anyone to go to a TAC with? Can you show up and shoot with others/random people? I'd love to go to the SD one sometime, but it's a 9 hour drive each way from Manitoba, and no one seems to want to make that commitment with me.

I went to the TAC in SD by myself. It's really fun.

Shoot solo all day man. I am most calm and shoot best when I'm alone. But at litterally almost any time you can find another solo shooter or a group and shoot with them if you get lonely
Good info. I just started archery about a few months ago. Still a baby in the sport, but at 60, I would like to experience these events, for some reason i am hooked. I dont know if there are such events here in So Cal. Bought my budget bow a few months ago and just a matter of 2 months bought myself a performance bow. Im doing quite good in the 20 yds in my backyard but would like to shoot farther targets. Still learning. Hoping to be able to do TAC in the future. At least now i know what to look forward to. Thank you for this video.
To bad I live on the east coast all the events are way to far away

@@Niko_410 anything farther then a few hours drive I can’t do especially if there’s no prize money. I can’t afford to do it just to be doing it.
Pretend hunting will be are future with lack of access and hunting pressure so bad the Big sky event has the cheapest ammentties
Bruh. Comon. It's hard enough to get tickets for one of these shoots even if you're willing to drive 12 hours. Chill on these videos man
