Normally I agree but the idea of the golden bachelor made me cry. I think it's going to be a great show. Older people having positive representation makes me so happy.

I feel like everyone’s reaction to drew barrymore trying to scab was what finally brought the studios to compromise with the strikers. Like I have never seen people say a bad word about drew before that incident. She’s basically America’s sweetheart. I don’t have any doubt they really were trying to wait the writers out for the winter, but they saw how people treated drew barrymore and knew they wouldn’t have been able to come back from that.

There was also the fact that Disney was probably feeling pressured, since they were literally 1 day away from the next live Dancing with the Stars premiere when the agreement was reached. Disney owns ABC, the cable channel DWTS airs on & was planning a Disney+ simulcast. Because of the strike, it's one of Disney's few new autumn streaming offerings this year. And considering the stranglehold the company has on the Hollywood scene these days... I think the rich people got scared when they saw that even DISNEY would have to face immediate delays

Some clarification on the mini skirt: The Saudi flag has the shahada, the declaration of Muslim faith, on it. Which obviously mentions god. So putting it on any piece of clothing, not just mini skirts, is considered disrespectful. That’s why Muslims don’t wear jewelry with God written on it or have it printed on our clothing, we don’t want to soil it or take it into the bathroom. But putting it next your private parts is next level. If I had to make a comparison it would be like taking passages from the Bible or Torah and putting them on a pair of hot pants. Also goddamn are those outfits ugly it’s one thing to commit an affront to god but those party city levels skirts hurt me on a personal level

About the Saudi Arabia flag. The flag has the inscription is the Islamic creed, or shahada: "There is no god but God; Muhammad is the Messenger of God" . Because the shahada is considered holy, the flag is not normally used on T-shirts or other items hence why it was offensive. You could have explained it like that.

No fact in the video is further explained. I believe that many already know the reason but honestly for me (and many others) it doesn't change anything about the debate being ridiculous. Some people are offended by everything, it's not the designers problem. Just don't wear the skirt if you don't like it and don't try to limit the freedom of art :)
