NFS Pro Street, my personal favourite NFS game, is it perfect? no, is it janky? at some points yes, but the personality of this game is immaculate. as much as i dislike Speed events they're one of the better ones. driving your car at break neck speed trying not to crash gives so much adrenaline, the customization has a bunch of variety and even affects how the car handles, AND THE ONLY NFS GAME THAT HAS INTERIOR CUSTOMIZATION. and probably the only racing game that made the Willow Springs Raceway look visually interesting

I can tell from personal experience that playing this game with the clutch enabled is like day and night. Shifting gears becomes so much smoother, and with tuning, you have so much control to making the cars exceptionally good at their race types

the visual damage model here is where NFS peaked IMO second to The Run, even in the newer racing games in general the level of damage is hard to match, at least with ones that have licensed cars

Oh man. I waited for this game so damn hard when i was a kid. I was checking the news about it's release everyday, even my screensaver was a screenshot of widebody 350z in Chicago's driftrace. And it was real, pure joy and happiness to play this as a game came out. Damn even now it's looking pretty cool. Glad people still like it as I do)

I've try corvette c6, I turn earlier because it turn so slow. With all suspension and tires upgrade and tuned it's still input lag. Just because it's cheap.

@@bigsmoke5814 OR Audi, the TT or RS4 (if I remember, or it was the RS3?), idk, they were easy to reach top speed and didn't loose it in curbes. First time I won the speed king, in that crazy nevada run, was with a Skyline GT, full power in engine with longest shift ratio and stock suspension (otherwise it would fly in bumps)... After that, I discovered the Audi cars :))

I think the difficulty is funny with how the events leading up to the kings are more difficult that the actual king races themselves. That being said Prostreet is still amazing

@CodeJ92 G-Effect Event number three... Rudy Chen ist the REAL Grip King. His Porsche is the best grip car in the game, and the only way of beating him is if Gavin May bins it and Rudy can't avoid his wrecked Cozzie. Honestly, they should have given the Porsche to Ray.

Love this NFS, I would love to see a remaster of this game as it’s good fun and the soundtrack was one of the best in the franchise.👌

Whilst still not street racing, it still had that good elements from underground with its car Customization here and race modes . Just more street legal here. Games underrated here. Love it. What a good game this is ❤🐀

I love this game it's one of my top 3 favourites really takes me back to when I was in high school really a wonderful memory HOWEVER playing it on pc seems to come with a bug that freezes the screen that is triggers when you complete the final round of a drift or drag race also Nevada highway Still give me PTSD to this day

Actually nevada highway isn't that hard.

Speed events biggest issue is that when using the regular camera angle, sometimes you have a hard time picking the right apex for each corner. That's the main reason you crash. "Bumper" camera when driving Speed events makes them alot better. You're taking the corners faster and scoring higher points by the end. Even the most powerful opponents(Paul Trask included) won't catch up to you.

All I see in the background of the menu is "KUSH" flashing back and forth

4:59 one of the best things that just happen on Pro Street. 6:49 this too Playing Pro Street with a controller is the hardest shit ever. Give up on speed races. Everything is easy on the Wii. Same exact game. Smoother steering physics. I miss the Wii version.

My Top3 NFS series.. NFSMW U1-2 and PS

ProStreet is one of the NfS that lives rent- free on my SSD :) The drifting is a bit janky ( stupid Tokyo Dockyard) and the career is a bit short ( why can you challenge Ryo without having won against the other Kings first?), but the intense speed challenges are great. The soundtrack is one of the best in the franchise. And if the vanilla experience gets boring theres always the great Pepega mod :)

There’s a Russian rebalance mod that adds more cars, increases AI difficulty and turns off assists it’s really good cuz you act have to try hard and tune your car for every type of race day

Prostreet was so fucking good and its such a shame it was dragged through the mud because of Most Wanted and to some extent Carbon.

I think from UG2 - Pro Street they should remake/remaster them and then just call it quits. I think what the NFS community doesn't understand or, try to ignore, is that car culture within itself is farrrrr from what it was in the earlier part of the 2000s. Retrospectively we can look back at Pro Street and appreciate it as a game now, but even at the time people were pretty unhappy with it and it sold poorly. Does it have something to do with it not being a stereotypical street racer? yes, but at the same time, the appetite for car culture in the mainstream had pretty much completely dissipated. Even when Fast & Furious returned in 2009, the car sub culture was no longer the main focus, it was the crazy spy like, drug dealers and government conspiracy theories type storylines that could focus on action and blowing shit up. The games themselves always drew from that main stream attention car centric films were getting and that is no longer the case. Even when you look at what real life car culture is now it's all about money. Racing games don't have as many shit boxes to buy and tune up, it's "oh buy a lambo as your first car" which is a reflection on real life as well. What used to be shit boxes in the older games like civics, Mitsubishis like the Eclipse, silvias etc are all 5 figure cars now. Not sure what it's like in other countries but you go to a meet in England and it's just dudes pulling up in BMWs and R Line Golfs they got on finance.

I did like Pro Street pretty much. There are some official carpacks for PC version BTW.

This is my favourite nfs game ! The first time I played it on ps2 I was flabbergasted by the graphics and physics it was amazing for the time then got it on my 1gb ram pc then on my ps3 then finished it multiple time on my gaming pc I retired from gaming 2 years ago but damn I really wanna play it again!

Fun video! This is another I had on the Wii, I really liked the earlier parts of the game but got stuck later on, especially on the drag races. I couldn’t figure out how to do it with the higher end cars, and I hated that it used motion controls… I'd like to give it another try one day, is there a particular best version?

I played the Wii version too. That was hard as heck, could never beat it lol. I pirated the PC version not too long ago, that's probably the best way to play. Just get the multifix mod, so then hopefully it won't crash too much. The 360 version ain't too bad either.

About the debate of best NFS, i think that in a *technical* sense, Unbound is the best, with a more open map (albeit smaller), the best graphics, with or without the visual effects, biggest car list and the best customization. But the game needs to work as well in practice as it works in theory. So it comes mostly of preference. I for example absolutely adore the vibes and gameplay from Carbon and Pro Street, wich are polar opposites in that regard, Most Wanted is an amazing game, but several aspects of it had been already used in better ways before, the graphics didn't age that well, like most games that came before and the game has an over-the-top edgy vibe wich, to me, seems more cringy than awesome. So MW is not exactly what i like, even if it's a very good game. Just like the Toyota Supra, most NFS games from Black Box are very *very* good, yet suffer from fanboys that put the games in a state of over-admiration and make the games not as good as people say they are

Pro Street was the Shizz my guy It was my Childhood and its 10x better the Unbound is trying to be. The Music The Cars The Adrenaline when the songs kick in It all is soo good if only EA would keep selling it It would still grow them profit. Well to be honest prostreet is just so underrated because most of need for speed fanbase disliked it ! In my opinion it’s one of the best nfs ever made : - crazy car sounds - tier 4 performance package ( kinda sick ) - cool cars - King for each category is so cool ( some if them don’t deserve the « KING » title shoutout to Big Nate and Ray Krieger… - real events in some of the coolest place - SOUNDTRACK ON TOP ! - damage are op for a 2007 game. - DLC ARE SICK ! this game is just way to good.

Tirando o hype, o "tempero" e a nostalgia do MW, acredito que o ProStreet seja até melhor. De todos dessa era, foi o com a física mais interessante e o que envelheceu melhor. Acredito que não tenha feito tanto sucesso por ser algo um pouco menos arcade. Uma pena que quando tento jogar no PC, tem um bug que pode fazer o jogo travar no final da corrida.

Car models was awesome otherwise game looked like plastic barbie world on my pc and cars handling was literally a car model on a carpet idk why it was like that but...maybe due to new system and that game is old so it may can't handle it properly or what...

most wanted (2005) is still imo the best nfs game but yeah its also the one with the worst case of rubberbanding holy moly.

@@flame_101 well psp's at least is different ig (cant talk much about it i didnt play enough) but PS2's take a while to load some stuff, most notably when checking your cars or load into races, hence why i never went into practice mode there besides, the game lags a lot in nevada and personally ryo was hard asf in the grip races (though that could've been just me coz i was using an eclipse which isnt that good in this game lol)

Heat is the most overrated game, I’d consider it a very bad game with very little worth praising yet panther somehow calls it the second best in the series. Everyone seems to act like it’s some great reboot when it’s literally just as empty and void of content or newtons laws like 2015 was.
