If “same team behind riverdale.” Includes a certain Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, then it will probably be worse than that. I expect at least one strip tease from Daphne and one from Fred. And if Archie in riverdale is anything to go by, I expect this Fred to be allergic to shirts. And depending how hot they make shaggy and Velma (they will probably make them hot) I expect at least one weird sex scene. Get ready internet, cause if “Velma” pissed everyone off so bad, then I cant imagen what a show like this will do.

You know I find it so demoralising to hear the word “remake”, “live action adaptation” or “based on” constantly, like I’m barely past the 1 min mark of the video and almost every single news has been a variation of the above 🥺it’s nothing knew at this point and I’m not saying that this kind of stuff can’t be well made but man is it really indicative of how uninspired the industry is

it's not exactly about lack of inspiration (there's a lot of artists with innovative ideas) but rather the film production industry using the cushion that franchises bring in terms of financial risk (established loyal audience). Basically they are prioritizing making easy and safe money over producing new, valuable art

My favorite thing about brands/companies acting on petty word trademarks like chili crunch is it negates any chance of becoming the name brand synonymous with the item. Ex: uhaul is a brand that we just use to mean moving truck. Kleenex being a brand we use to refer to all tissues. Etc. Just be the best product or most marketed and you live on beyond your actual product

Speaking of OJ, a trailer for a OJ Simpson biopic was released and Derek Luke is going to play OJ’s lawyer in the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic. More biopic news: Back to Black came out in the UK and Ireland to mixed results, a Chris Farley biopic is in the works, Jeremy Allen White has been cast to play Bruce Springsteen, and a Frank Sinatra biopic is in the works with Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence as Frank Sinatra and Ava Gardner respectively.

1st off thank you for these monthly videos. I miss a lot of this stuff now after leaving Twitter (I'm not calling it it's new stupid name). Scooby-Doo has already been made into a live action movie and it will never be topped. That's just facts. Also they tried to reboot Heroes before and it didn't work. But I do understand why these things get made. Hollywood is a business and reboots and remakes are more likely to make money than something original.

I'm glad you mentioned Zico and his new song with Jennie. I've been following him and Block B (the group that he's in) for over 10 years.

As someone who works in architecture (and has a particular love for historic MCM homes), my heart is utterly broken. Also a Scooby Doo series ala Riverdale sounds like the deepest circle of Hell.

My first thought about the Amy Winehouse movie is that the actress looks and seems too clean-cut. Amy Winehouse had a rougher way of speaking and was often messy looking (not disparaging, it added to her charm). Something about this actress just seems like a soft-spoken lady in a Halloween costume.
