    Yo this is huge man! Stoked to try this out in my current project !!! Very grateful for this channel, you are constantly unlocking new chunks of knowledge for me. Something I’m struggling with right now and would love some insight on is harmonic interplay between builds and drops. I.e. what you touched on in your earlier build video, how to kind of “tease” the drop in the build while creating tension, atmosphere and texture. How to create that kind of harmonic fluency while still having a huge contrast of texture to really bring the drop home. Much love

    Nice vid, good references, that Congress tune is one of my all timers 🙌 The hoover was the ‘what the’ preset in the Roland Alpha Juno, sampled and mangled by everyone, great sound👌

    I don't think "Show me love" bass was mentioned originally being an FM synth preset (for example Yamaha DX7, but others with just 4 operators no prob) and not a chord sample. It's this organ harmony thing, FM patch mimicking classic electric organ. The difference to pipe organ is that the electric organ interval tones can be "clicked" (have fast decay). Maybe not 100% correct, maybe too black and white but everyone check out FM organ patches for futher studying if someone's interested.

  • @SamiJumppanen

    @SamiJumppanen

    You can't. It needs human choir sampling like told in this video. It's not a synthetic sound. I think the "original" patch or sound is from a Kawai synth (ROM sample based patch).

    Im pretty sure the re-samples tabs came from the Belleville 3 ie: kzread.info/dash/bejne/oaGay7ikm62Xf7g.html The UK guys just took it and ran with it. For Charly, Liam sampled and cut up Mentasm by Joey Beltram pretty much the reason we have "hoovers". kzread.info/dash/bejne/p2yKu5edqNSbc7g.html

    Okies. So 65 percent of rave stabs are samples or re-samples. XD The other amount is preset synths or keyboards sounds, with either tune settings or basic setup.

    The viewers wouldn't know it anyway. My band is getting "heads up" when uploading a video with our own music. It says it's not a copyright strike. And according to my experience much (or some) of the sub culture is not fingerprinted, thus never causing issues. Means, not owned by modern business.
