    What’s going to be helpful for all of us is how you explained the coaching pipelines. I’m so glad they added this feature. Also, finding out the recruit’s overall very well explained. So, buddy it sounds like going with Kennesaw and Sam Houston for me, we’re going to definitely have to at least get bowl eligible and try to win conference championships to get more recruiting points😂

    Thanks! I'm glad you found the tips to be helpful! And yeahhhhh 😂😂 might be a little challenging to pull anyone in recruiting or the Off-Season. We will just have to prioritize recruits that are not being heavily recruited so we don't have to battle for them. We now don't HAVE to fully commit them. As long as we offer them a scholarship and we end in first place in their recruiting race, they will walk on. So I'm probably going to take advantage of that and just try to maintain a solid lead over 2nd place in all recruits and if I get a verbal commit, awesome, but if not, then that's ok. I'll probably try to see how much a team can reasonably gain on a player in a given week. Then once I get a "safe" lead over 2nd place, I can re-allocate my points to try to help get a lead on each of the players I want.

    @ProblyNathan i haven't played any of the previous versions of NCAA -- what's the lowest # of hours you can spend on a recruit in a week? 1? 5? And, as a first-time player, do you think I should just do the "uncool" thing and start with a Blue Blood until I get a feel for things? I think those swamp dwellers might be looking for a new Head Gator!

    Welcome to the college football fam then! Well since this is pretty different than other versions of the game, I can't really confirm for a 100% certainty but it seems like 5 hours. That for searching a player on social media and seems to give a very small bonus. And well bro, it's totally up to you but starting with a blue blood is kinda really way to easy for the most part. I'm not sure if you've played madden or have any previous football videogame experience in general, but if our halfway decent t the game, I imagine you should be able to take any team anked 25-50 and turn them into a powerhouse pretty quickly. Games won't be too challenging cause you'll have a competent roster and recruiting won't be impossible cause you'll have some solid interest in most players in your region and you'll be able to comfortably learn the ropes but still have somewhat of a challenge to help you improve in your skills as a college coach. Hopefully what I said makes sense.

    @ProblyNathan eh, I'm over 50 and grew up on less sophisticated controllers. I mean, I think I do alright all things considered, but I'm not going to knock off UGA with Kennesaw State because of my mad skills. My point is, I think I'll be simming through games my first build or two and focusing on learning about the recruiting and coaching talent trees. Besides, if I *were* good enough with the controller to pull off upsets at a small school, I'd think the game would poach my coordinators and potentially set off a transfer portal exodus.

    I think you’re looking at it wrong. I think the grade is your school’s grade for that specific thing and you won’t know what grade the player is for that, all you will see on the player side is the check box ✅ showing whether or not they care about it. If they do, you want the grade on the right side (your school) to be high in that category in order to pitch that to the player. I hope I make sense. Great video nonetheless

    What kind of players would you recruit for a 4-2-5 defense?

  • @ProblyNathan

    @ProblyNathan

    20 күн бұрын

    For a 4-2-5 defense, I'd look for the following. DE, pash rushing ability to be able to consistently get to the QB. Speed rushing has generally been my preferred archetype for DEs in this system. DT, run stopping ability would be great because with only 2 LBs you won't have a lot of backup for run support. So it they can't get through the middle of the line with your two massive run stopping DTs then you'll be set. LBs, I would try to find as balanced as possible players. You really need good tackling and run stopping because these are going to be your primary guys for tackling larger RBs. Any CBs will not really be able to help out much in the run game due to their lack of weight and tackling abilities. So don't sacrifice tackling and pursuit with your LBs. Coverage stats are also a great bonus for LBs cause they will routinely be covering both TEs and RBs in the pass game. Ideally the more athletic of the two of them will be your user on defense so speed, accel, and change of direction are huge perks on your user. Outside CBs, focus on coverage stats with a good focus on height and speed. Depending on whether you like man or zone coverage, these outside CBs will mainly be playing man, hard Flats, or deep zones. Slot CB, should be the most physical CB. You could potentially use a safety in this spot if they have good enough coverage stats. Should prioritize coverage, change of direction (zigs and slant routes), and tackling/pursuit (helping with run support since they can also be lined up in the box. Safeties, zone coverage is the most important since they will be in zone coverage most of the time. Tackling, speed, and change of direction are all great as well. But do not overlook both awareness and playrec. You don't want you middle safeties biting on the play action fakes and being beat for touchdowns. Hopefully that all makes sense! 😁

We can use that previous knowledge mixed with the knowledge of the upcoming games from their deep dive posts to not go into recruiting blindly. If I wanna run a air raid offense at app state what type of players would I wanna recruit?

  • @ProblyNathan

    @ProblyNathan

    21 күн бұрын

    For Air Raid, I'd focus on an accurate QB that can stretch the field with his arm. You don't really need a ton of mobility as a QB (although it never hurts). You'll be using a lot of smash, corner, y cross, mesh, and hitches so you'll want a QB that can fire the ball into the window of the WR. For WR/TE, id focus on route running because most of the routes they will be running will have sharp cuts and that route running ability can give you the separation needed for a completion. Secondly I'd look for good possession threats to ensure they hold on to the ball if they get hit by the defense on some tight window throws. Speed and size also never hurt for a WR. RB, I'd primarily target a good receiving back like a CMC and if they have some solid pass blocking ability that'd be a great bonus. OL, I'd look for mainly pass blocking stats because you would be passing 80% of the time. Hopefully that helps!

    That's what will take some time and why I won't go full in on a Dynasty for a few days... I am going with UConn, but am changing the Offense to a Pistol based (have to see which playbook I like the best) and I know Kennesaw St. runs it... but who else? Defensively I want to run a 3-3-5 and will have to shop there too. I have seen Iowa State and NC State run it well, but have to look around. That and the 4-2-5 to determine which I like best. I tend towards 3-3-5 since I can disguise better (at least in my mind). Once I know that, I can make personnel and recruiting decisions.
