In today’s video, the jb task was an ESTIMATE! After quick question then response by the custoner it was clear, that a repair was imineanf the diagnosis was quickly determined, that the capactior had failed and we could easily get rhe custoner cooling with that being aaid replaced the cap and inforned the custoner of their repair was complete and they would be cooling off hat nghr after the easy repair i also sent the custonwr estimates for a replacemnetX l, abd informed them that the repair would go towards a new system

    ​​@@KoolinwithKrauss these new gauges are awesome...full color touch screen and data logging...connects to measure quick app and yellow jacket has their own app...been using them for a week now and they are the best gauges i ever had....i got them in the backpack kit with the wired probes and vac gauge, 3/8 vacuum hose and a set of 5 ft hoses...the backpack is awesome...so many pockets for storage

    good job man. I heard 945 for the capacitor and i was thinking ouch. Then i heard the 3 something at the end. That seems reasonable. I keep an extra cap at my house just in case. Im not a hvac guy but i can do the basics. Good vids. I like ur guys weekly podcast.

    I like to throw small jabs out there 😆 but ya it’s about 290 for cap, we are flat rate, that includes the dispatch/diagnostic fee and cap! Appreciate it Rob, definitely a good time to shoot the breeze

    @@KoolinwithKrauss facts ! Yeah we’re up to 460 techs now I believe. It’s crazy how large we’ve gotten in just 1.5 yrs ! Finished out with 74.5 hours but get the 4th off and paid . Keep up the fire videos most of us watch em soon as you drop

    Looked entirely reasonable to me. You provide the guidance, and the customer makes the decision. Maybe he'll just let it ride until it needs something more serious.

    Exactly!! I always say if it’s a compressor or coil/leak type job and out of warranty, just about doesn’t make sense. Other then that let it ride until the wheels fall off

    🤣 🤔 appreciate you dude thanks, be safe in Cali! You’ll just have to record and let it ride. So we were subbing them out in the beginning. But for now we have been doing them ourselves to keep money in house, tho it was actually cheaper to have the subs do it. But we the new branding and all we want to be present on the jobs

    I’m up in middle TN. Ran in the same thing the other day bad cap. Mine was $ 311 with trip, part, labor and taxes. But that is taking the moment and checking pressures and making sure it’s working properly. Always like watching those videos 🫡

    It’s good to hear your price on that cap. I have my own business here in North Georgia and I’ve struggled with what to charge on a simple capacitor replacement. My price is just a hair below $300 so that lets me know I’m at least in line with other guys.

    Absolutely brother!! That also includes the dispatch/diagnostic fee… however you want to categorized it for yourself!! I’m glad you watched that portion and saw, we are currently in a beta through our CRM for regional pricing average. And for some we have to lower others we raise

    @@KoolinwithKrauss That makes sense. Yeah my price includes the service call fee and labor. I end up charging some customers less depending on their situation. I just did a second opinion for a lady that told me she was very broke but needed air, the other company told her that she needed a blower motor and quoted her $1200. I went there and found nothing but a bad thermostat. I charged her less than $200 for the whole thing.

    @@AaronPowellvox my man!!! Sometimes that’s all it takes. Unfortunately either the other company was just ignorant and didn’t know what they were doing, or would change the motor then on top of that charge for a stat after the fact

    I got a question do you have your epa certification or diploma cuz I’m currently in trade program and my professor tryna pressure me to get a diploma, but I know he trying to get more financial aid out of me cuz I want get my Nate certification too I alright I got my epa certification just with them 2 certifications I can get a job right

    Never heard of needing a diploma 🤔 maybe just for school completion and you get your epa. I never went to school, do need the epa to buy and handle refrigerant. But if your with a company, you’ll work under theirs
