What Would Life look like on Alien Worlds? (Part 2)
What Would Life look like on Alien Worlds?
When we search the cosmos for life, we usually look for planets that look like Earth, after all, if Earth can support life why couldn’t a similar planet. But not all planets look like Earth, some are much hotter and others much smaller. With the diversity of planets, it's worth asking, what would life look like on alien worlds?
We'll discuss two worlds. Eden: A planet like ours orbiting not one star, but two. This is Eden. The light from its twin stars powers photosynthesis, pumping oxygen into the atmosphere. How would life evolve to live on such an extremely oxygenated world? Terra: A planet 9 billion years old, twice as old as earth. Old enough that a truly advanced civilization could have evolved. Like Earth, it was once a fertile world. Now it’s barren. But life can still thrive here in artificial domes. Under such different circumstances, how would life adapt to such extreme worlds?
Despite light-years between planets, life across the universe needs the same basics to survive, food and a reason to reproduce. Despite the vast differences in lifeforms, these common needs could result in some remarkable similarities across the cosmos.

Hey uh you terra system i like the name im waiting for new episode for season 1
I always thought the line about how the aliens in the final episode was funny and ironic as they say they will never die and are super intelligent but in the episode they are shown dying and they waited until their star becomes a problem before they start colonizing other planets I mean even we are figuring it out and we're supposed to be less advanced then them

The predators look like funny looking lemurs.
I question why the "brain in a jar" aliens would move to a new planet at all. Why not just build artificial habitats in space and then move the habitats where they are needed. If they're that advanced it should be easy for them.

No building a new planet is better they don’t like the domes
GREAT VIDEO!!!
Even if sapients have grown more advanced, there’s a possibility that they’ll remain as primitive as their “modern-day” prehistoric species, and while they had advanced technology, they don’t depend on it as they decided to be both futuristic and primitive in order to remain alive as possible, much like the Yautja only they didn’t hunt dangerous creatures for sport, maybe they could use robots designed to inspire other creatures and enemies from their homeworld as by means of exercising. Basically they’ll evolve into different subspecies depending on their culture.
so glad you made a part 2!!
I gave the creatures of the planet Enden some pretty funny names suited to their appearance. to the "Predators" I called them "Grab-lins" (union between the names graboids of the Tremors franchise = because of the arms for catching the preys, and the gremlis because they are very similar) and to the "grazers" I called them "moth -bits "(union between the names moth, and rabbits / even if they jump like frogs)
Such an awesome hypothetical video love it
Another excellent life on other planets 🪐 video. Beautifully done. You deserve an academy award 🥇 Kudos from Alaska 💐🌹🥰
I eagerly await part 3. Your narration and the visuals are excellent.

Well if he continues with Alien Worlds, there probably won't be a Part 3. The Netflix series hasn't made any more episodes, and no confirmation for a Season 2 has been made either

Of all the planets described from part 1 and part 2, I like Eden Planet and it is my favorite planet. Because 2X more oxygen than the earth. Maybe more habbitable than earth. Predators are not as scary as the planet Atlas in part 1.

why do the predators on planet Eden look like an earth animal🤔 otherwise really cool designs
terra is another name for earth
Omg is there part 3😁
This series will be better if they aren’t too focus on expert analysis but more on those planets.

5:00, There is an alien robot. But if you know, robots are machines made by living things. Robots are not living things. There must be a creator. But who created it? What form of aliens? Maybe it's not told in this documentary.

The robots were made by those alien brains (pictured in those jars in the background at that same time stamp) before they became brains in jars. They made the robots so they could become just brain matter and let the machines do all the work for them.

@@EverythingScience He's probably talking about the actual prey predator relationship. The herbivore would evolve to not go after the orange spores, the predators would evolve to not go after those clealry infected. Natural selection wouldn't make it work. Also as a food chain it wouldn't work either as no autotrophs are in that specific food network. Fungi are heterotrophic since they eat dead matter. It's a circular food chain where the fungi eat predators, are eaten by herbivores and the herbivores are eaten by predators. No energy is introduced into the system making a closed system. Through the law thermodynamics energy is simply lost and never introduced causing all of them to eventually starve.
