All the clown fanboys saying “I will never leave…” so if the OS turns to shit over the next two years you are just sticking with it? Self-confirmation at it’s finest. I remember when I hated on Apple too. But then I got frustrated and tried them out and years later I am still with them. But it is not a life sentence. If I get disappointed and someone else does it better I will leave.

Exactly this. After 7 years straight on Android the lack of long term support and terrible app optimizations for the camera being terribly handled in instagram and other apps for example. It was enough to make me try IOS finally with my 12 Pro and i certainly wont be switching back to Android unless true optimizations and support come or if Apple pulls some classic restrictive Apple moves in the future. Overall IOS right now is just a better user experience, you pay for it but everything 'just works' haha

lack of what I looked for in a phone, I've been using the new SE since my 22nd birthday which replaced my previous SE. Before that, I had the Nexus 5. XDA was my home for those 3 years lol I've only been sticking to Apple recently because it's just easy and friends are w them. I want to get the Xperia 1 III bc it ticks all the boxes I like for once and doesn't have any annoying gimmicks like literally everything else. I just wanted a normal bar phone, "normal" display w/o any holes or notches and a headphone jack. the camera's a fat bonus

i have a lot of reasons to move to apple. the optimisation of the apps, the long software support that doesnt practically force u to change after 3 or 4 years, the way everything just works, the availability of amazing apps that arent supported or will ever be supported on android becuase of their poor efficiency, and the fact that they remotely give a crap about their user's experience for apps and for more. but even looking beyond all that, android still is the king in terms of innovation. sure, apple will do it better when they finally get it on their phones, but the fact remains that they wont for a while, it would have to be up to apple's standards. thats why they still have the ugly notch, why they wont do in display fingerprint sensors, or use usb c or portless. android has so many devices and companies that arent afraid to put in new features in software or hardware, with little care about if its done in the best possible way or if it will flop. for that bravery, i will continue to use android and be at the bleeding edge

Because Face ID is fucking awesome. And i know it seems useless for a person who hasn’t used it, I did too when i was using my S8, but once you start using Face ID, i prefer it any day over touch id. Touch ID is an additional welcome, but never in my conscious mind i would trade Face ID for Touch Id. Its quicker, its more intuitive, and works so seamlessly.

Few things. I actually dual carry phones. I have an iPhone 12PM for work and a Z flip 3 for my personal device. While at work the ecosystem integration is phenomenal for my workflow. To take a video or photo and it’s just there on my MacBook ready to go without having to transfer anything helps me stay productive. Added bonus, when I’m not at work, I can completely ignore all calls on that device. My personal device I can customize and use however I want, no restrictions and I know anyone calling me on it is for me not for my job. Also I can’t look at needles. I have an intense irrational fear of needles. If I watch 7/10 I go into a panic attack and a further 3/10 pass out. It’s no bueno.

I used android from almost the time it came out. I was on Verizon when the iPhone released and about a year or two later I got a “Droid”. I loved it. I was hooked. I had Samsungs, HTCs, LGs, One Pluses, Motorola, and almost every Nexus device. I am an Android fan. I got a 2020 iPad Pro through Verizon for vacations. I loved playing pool through iMessage on the iPad so when the iPhone 12 came out I got the smaller Pro series. I’ve never used a better phone. The OS is impeccable. There are absolutely no crashes, reboots, stutters, or lags of any kind. I’ve had about 30 - 40 android devices over the span of 12 or so years. Always in search of the perfect phone. I never really understood the argument of, “It just works”, until I used my first iPhone. I’ll never switch back to android. The folding devices, amazing cameras, futuristic features, and all around cool hardware is amazing. But android isn’t even in the same league as iOS and the Apple ecosystem because it truly does just work.

Was there ever a time when people just bought the product that worked for them and DIDN’T argue with random people on the internet to internally validate their purchase to themselves because they have the “best one” 🙃 It’s like switches in custom keyboards, it’s all preference. People arguing about which brand/OS is best are the type of people who use their phone for social media consumption and that’s pretty much it. Last time I check even a windows phone had that figured out.

I did that mistake, used iphone 12 Pro for 5 months. Ios felt extremely basic and dumb! While reviewers focus on one App at a time, they should also highlight the ease of switching between the apps, proper millions of widgets, multiple app running at the same time (split screen, multi window). Especially if one needs to use Google Apps, even take it for KZread; Android is much better. I have to give it to Apple though for a glimpse of iphone from a distance, it does look very very nice! However once you get closer, the rubbishness starts of low res screen. Switched back to my old OnePlus 5 and recently got s21 ultra! 2-2.5x zoom is just gimmick, 5-10x optical zoom is the real deal!
