Thank you for all the fantastic videos. I enjoyed every one of them and appreciated them filmed in real time. I can only imagine after a hard days walk how much time it took to gather the footage and edit. Glad to see your going out there to hike again. Looking forward to those videos now. We are headed in Sept. for the Frances that we have been putting off because of the crowds. We too stay in private accommodations. I need my sleep!

A recommendation regarding the umbrella for your next adventure - Euroschirm umbrella it has a larger circumference so will cover your backpack PLUS buy the attachments to the front straps of your backpack for the umbrella that way you can walk hands free. This is a recommendation from several seasoned Camino pilgrims. All the best and safe travels

We averaged $86 per night. Always booked 4-5 days out. Which really locks you into your itinerary which is good and bad. Buen Camino

How far in advance did you book your private rooms?

It depended. For week and a half led up to Easter week so we booked about 7 days worth. After Easter I would do 3-5 days
