If we can't cure Diabetes by 2040 that means pharmaceutical and/or medical device companies are somehow suppressing the cure. We have had so much promising research on cures like encapsulation technology and ways to prevent or reverse T1D that never seem to get past the research stage! That's why the Government not only needs to fund the research and development but also a path to bring them into real implementation and provide it free to the public because we paid for it with our tax dollars like what happen with the mRNA COVID vaccines. Problem is politicians are being paid by medical companies to do what they want not the other way around. We need to first take big money's influence out of politics with laws to prevent political corruption!

Interview clips - excellent idea and great strategy for your channel! You should do more! I’m sure there is a lot more hidden gems in all the interviews you did that people have no idea about. This strategy will definitely help reach more people who are interested in the exciting tidbits but don’t want to sit thorough a long interview (like me)😀 Keep it up!

There has to be a cure by then, surely! Sadly, I'm not convinced there will be, sadly, for there are a lot of companies that make a lot of money from this disease.

Away from this good interview and good news about infusion sets, Will diabetes still until we reach 2040 ??! Sounds like there is no one works on solving the disease itself 😓

Well.... this is the golden question. I think smart insulin is a very promising development but too early to discuss it.

Hey Jacob. At this moment, they only working on US from what I understand. Their long term plan is to be available in other regions. It must be very challenging to fund other regions as they are a non profit.

Hopefully there will be no need for infusion sets by then but only oral medication.

2040!!! Does that mean we will never see the cure! Hell with anyone, who makes money out of our children 's lives!
