My baby is look like like Yuki the last husky, she is half blood ( the only difference is that she has the one ear down) and she is 7 years old now. I have read to some sites ( sometimes she is difficult with food) what the huskies must eat, a must to eat is the egg the outside of the egg ( sorry my English is not so good so i try my best) is full of proteins so must to eat. But only boiled not raw or cooking. I have tried to give her and for months was like crazy waiting for the food time to come. Now she is boring again and i am looking for next food tricks... By the way she is crazy for bananas, not joke, when i open it she eat it all and then looking for the outside ( i put it in my flowers for fertilizer). If your dog's eat them too, ok is a husky thing if not is my baby's thing.

For my cats i half boil an egg, put in 2-3 tbsp yoghurt and blend well, half to one half to the other, they dont leave one single drop of it, and its healthy to my knowledge.. of course its not a regular everyday food but 1-2 times a week..

I think the best way to do this particular test is to go ahead and set up before you let the dog/cat in. Place both plates close together and see which one the dog/cat goes to 1st. Then do the test two and three times and check results.

Few things should change to make them really choose one dish over another. 1) Make preparations before you let dogs or cats inside the room. 2) Take away the food that they did not choose. (Give it to others...) In this way less mishaps and they will really try to choose what to eat, not just follow your directions on which one to eat first.

Also, to make sure the choice isn't just random, you should repeat the experiment, and change which plate (the left or the right) has the boiled vs raw food, so you can eliminate a positionnal preference and make sure the choice is a choice.

I completely agree. The experiment is a failure and very biased. He was not allowing them to choose by their own free will, rather he was giving them instructions.

@martian...a real lab test would proceed like that, but this is just for fun. It proves that dogs are omnivores and cats are more "feral" eating the raw egg and preferring it.

Its Amazing how the cats clearly choose the raw eggs. Sonya cracked me up!> " Are you kidding me?! Wheres the treats?." Olive truly doesnt like cold wet food. So funny. Monty - both good! They are obligate carnivores and can actually still recognise food as food unlike a lot of more domesticated animals. Ferrets will also choose raw eggs unless they’re Marshall’s

Wild domesticated cats are closer to their wild counterparts than domesticated dogs are, it seems to me the main factor was whether or not the real yolk had been broken and exposed so they could smell it, much more than whether it was a cat or a dog.

Nothing like huskies and cats together - lovely family.

This reinforced what I had read: dogs prepare you for babies and toddlers while cats give you an idea of what teenagers are like.

First I have to say you have trained your gorgeous huskies so well - and, let's face it - dogs may have preferences but are just so happy to try anything on a plate - sometimes your own. Cats are tricky-I am going to try the egg test again with my girl tomorrow. I am not sure she understands her own tastebuds, let alone anything else...

Interesting how the presenter 'weighed' the husky's choice by petting the dogs when they ate the option he preferred. Pretty much for the cats as well. Most larger doggos that I have known will chow down on an egg, shell and all, very happily once they get used to the texture. No big thing: they happily chew on raw bones, dry kibble, etc. An egg shell is no where near as difficult as a raw bone. My dogs always got a whole raw egg in their breakfast. Cats also, in my experience, prefer raw egg. It's what they eat in nature when they rob a bird nest. If the egg is small enough they will even eat the shell, just like they will chew on the fresh bones of partially developed bird bones in shell and hunted small birds. There is good calcium in bones and an egg shell. Not sure I'm particularly impressed by this demo.

If I were one of those animals, I would organise the rest into a special ops team to take out the irritant who kept messing with me while I was trying to eat. Animals just want protein and to be left alone to eat it. See most of them showing majority interest in the yolk, especially the first dog who obviously didn’t want the clear tasteless snot part.

In so tough period of 1990s in Russia we often fed our cats with raw eggs and it was totally normal for both sides: for people and for cats. I can even tell you that our cats liked raw eggs! At least, for them it was much better to eat raw eggs than bread!

Love how she picked out all the yoke in the boiled egg.

As usual Belka came out top for me. I didn't know dogs would eat raw eggs, learnt something there. X

It’s good for their fur both dogs and cats at my house had them mixed with their meat

monty said he wanted the cooked egg, but you said wait not to eat it when it was put down first so he ate the raw one first. try having them already in bowls and place at the same time. Dog tend to like cooked yolk and raw whites. But either way still cute to watch thanks for the smiles.x

Raw is best as that’s how animals were designed to eat .. but only use the egg yolk as cats and dogs can have allergies to egg whites and it’s why they often leave them 💕

our border collies prefer raw eggs above boiled ones ! never knew they would not like any eggs boiled by their meals untill one dog had to have extra protien evey meal time! vet said boiled eggs were best , but he would not even touch them ! looked at me as if i wanted to poison him or something hahah! so now they all get a raw egg every week . unfortunally our sick dog did not make it , he past away 2 moths ago , i miss my barking loud noiser

У всех свой характер. В том числе и на еду. А вообще котам вареный белок не усваивается. Сырое яйцо можно целиком. Собаки все съедят. Только первый что-то не захотел. Его , наверное , воспитывали кошки. 😂🤗🐱🐶

Чем кормили раньше, то и выбирают. Ещё в учебниках в школе писали, что щенки рычали на колбасу, пока ее не попробовали.

Яйцо всегда вкусное , в любом виде!

I had a feeling the cats would prefer the raw egg because I remember seeing a video where a cat preferred raw chicken over cooked. I forgot if the cooked chicken was broiled or roasted. But I would be too worried about salmonella & parasites to give pets raw meat.
