I'm still so in the dark when it comes to fitment. I just acquired a mk5 and like the stretched tire look. I priced some coilovers out so I know I'm gonna have that done soon. But this actually helps with what I know I can run under it. I just hope with whatever I get it will look halfway decent and like I kind of know what I'm doing.

Buy a tape measure, and measure how much space you have. Watching videos is no replacement for taking measurements.

If you’re looking at any dished wheels, whether a one-piece concave or a multi-piece flat-lip, realise that depth of the dish is dictated by both the offset and the width of the wheel. It’s not uncommon for first-time buyers to place an order and be confused/disappointed when they realise they receive a set that doesn’t look like they imagined they would.

I was thinking of purchasing Rotiform BLQs. It’s 19x8.5 +45 offset. Would this be viable? I purchased the car recently and all I know is that the previous owner put it on some H&R lowering springs.

I'm confused with what the ET size means 😂🤦🏽‍♂️ my current alloys are et54 if I get new ones , do they need to be the same et or ?

Is it the same for golf v fsi?

Wheels are cool but the stock phone rotor wheels look so good imo

I have a set of 18x8.5 et35 paired with 215/40 on my mk5 gti. Stock suspension and they rub in the rear sometimes, even if the car is not loaded. Any advice? I’ve seen many people running the same dimension wheels even lowered without any issue…

Hi I'm a bit late but I bought a set of Bola B1 for my MK5. They are exactly the same specs as yours (8.5Jx18 ET35) and I plan to put 215/35 Nankang tires on them. Did you need to use a roller fender to get the wheels into your fenders? I was told that 8.5 ET45 works perfectly but 8.5 ET35 is too wide Thank you if you take the time to reply :)

hello would a 18x9 ET 25 Fit with michelin 225/40/18 without any rubbing fender or camber just stock body fender and on coilover? 6 pot bbk will fit?

Nope, ET25 is way too far poke, especially for a 9 wide rim, the sweet spot is ET 35 - 40, 8 - 8.5 wide, 225/40/R18 - 235/40/R18 if you want good fitment on MK5 without rubbing

Can’t find gold mk5 2008 gt sport 2.0 tdi on the website you linked, is it the same as any other of the cars? Bc the gt is a bit lower than the normal mk5?

stock wheels will usually be 17x7.5!

For a golf it might be lmfao. stock is 18x7.5 fitment.you should know.

Just purchased black 5 door mk5 gti , ordered some cheap eBay coil overs , And next step is 19” wheels , But I’m still not sure what width and what offset , I wanna leave the car stock , no pulling fenders etc..

OK I have BBS replicas, they are 18x8.5 ET25 no scrape, I bought another set of Hussla Reps 18x8.5J ET35 and these scrape, how is that possible, tyre size? Please help!! Possibly wonky China dimensions not accurate??

@@fitmentindustriesgarage5583 I don't believe they are the tyres that came with the Hussla Reps are all over over shop which leads me to believe that's the issues. New tyre rear- 225/45R18 New tyre front- 245/40R18 Old tyres full set 225/40R18
