WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?

This is video of me trying out the 1996 TYCO rc DAGGER.
it's a little underwhelming at my age and at those speeds, but the appeal is still there to run it.

Tyco and Nikko had the coolest commercials, always making you want their RC’s no matter how good or bad they are

This is great it brings me back to when I was like 7 or 8 Christmas morning. I got the dagger and the ricochet stunt cycle where the only steering on the motorcycle was the rider was a counter weight and would move side to side. it was a pain to try and drive it in my grandma's house, ankles were most definitely hit. Tyco rc man it was the coolest, the funny thing my dog I have now is named tyco but it's spelled different tyko he's almost remote control depends on if he wants to respond lol great video sorry for the long comment but man seeing this and the advertisement really brought me back to opening it and my dad teaching me to drive it and having to much fun taking it over lol

Oh man I had this thing the year it came out. It was my FAVORITE rc car to play with as a kid. Stunt mode was definitely the best way to run it. I used to annoy my dad by doing back flips off the garage door. Left skid marks all over the garage door from hittin back flips constantly (which is probably the one time the front shocks actually helped) I'm wondering if the years haven't been so kind to the battery pack and motors cause mine used to definitely spin faster and hold wheelies for longer.

I think Tyco do live up to there ads, cleaver designs and seem fun most of the time. I like how simple to tune by moving the battery inside.

I had one of these and a bunch of other cool car's that i can't remember the name of that were actually pretty fun to play with but i completely forgot about this one until i seen your video. I honestly had a lot of fun with it when i was younger i remember letting my neighbor drive it and he crashed it into a sewer. I found out about hobby grade rc's not much longer after that then it was nothing but nitro's.

I used to mod these from 6volt to 9.6volt and it's able to handle the new voltage without it heating up or burning out.and there was a dramatic improvement on power and especially speed.i can tell you how if you're interested.either way nice video.subscribed!

Honestly, I don't remember these. Of course, I was 28 at the time, and I was busy working on my photography degree, as well as waiting tables at T.G.I.Friday's. Nevertheless, it does look like fun...ina goofy-fun way. 🤙🏼

Lots of 90's tyco rc cars were tank control twin sticks. Made for awesome stunt rc's They had the wackiest, craziest odd ball rc cars at the time and every single one of them used those twin sticks afaik

I'm pretty sure those panels are FRP, and remembering mine, they're good for about 5 jumps, so you're ahead of the survivability curve.

Tyco was awesome at being Tyco and I hold nothing against them for making the most unique toy RC stuff around. I have a new-in-box Tyco Fast Traxx in my RC collection.
