What Were the Revolutions of 1830 and 1848? AP Euro Bit by Bit #30

The ideologies of liberalism, nationalism, and conservatism came into conflict in Europe in 1830 and 1848. Across the continent, revolutions broke out. Most of them failed. Here's a brief overview of some of those revolutions.

You are by far best teacher on youtube for helping with the AP exams, and I have watched almost all of your videos to help with my upcoming AP Euro exam. The videos highlight all major points, are funny, and extremely well done. History is my favorite subject but now I love it even more. Keep up the fantastic work! :)

Your Videos are so helpful and for once I am actually understanding vs just memorizing. Most history teachers make me fall asleep, but the way you lecture like this makes it so much easier to comprehend (probably because you're good at explaining things without being too confusing with the details). Thanks for making all these!

Mr. Sargent, As always, this was a very helpful video. I did have one question about the French Revolution of 1830 portion as it pertains to the AP Euro Exam. I understand the July Ordinance and characteristics (constitutional monarch, absolutist, etc) of each ruler. However, I am confused as to how specific the AP Euro Exam will get on this subject. Do we have to know examples of the reforms of Louis Philip and Louis 18? I memorized the reforms of the enlightened despots, but it does not seem like the reforms of the early 19th century French monarchs are as significant in the context of the AP test. As an AP teacher, I would really appreciate your input on my rationale.
