I just could taste one of those eight teas, the Luminary Misfit, and I agree, it is a delicious raw puerh. One of the best also for me in my 2022 collection.

I spend waaay too much at W2T, and their club is a great value. I haven't received them yet, but I did buy a cake each of their 5th and 10th anniversary teas. I recommend going to Mandela Tea. They are state side, so you'll get your teas fast.

Interesting that you picked the old arbor as #1! I remember trying that when it first hit my doorstep and I was a bit underwhelmed by it on taste. It took a few months in the pumidor for me to start really enjoying it.

W2t boat captain 2022, a harsh tea with delicious sweetness and tobacco notes. Dont know what happened (maybe some colder temp water) but one session the tea lost most of the sweetness and the bitterness, and it became a explosion of cream in my mouth.

Luminary misfit is a good one,for sure! Mei Leaf has some great cakes. Nanuoshan is another vendor,I recommend “letters from the mountain”. Hard to describe, they are these little flat Puerh slices, for lack of a better term, very nice. I wouldn’t mind seeing you guys review it,just because it’s actually kind of a new form.

Even though this is not a current video: I just saw it, and wanted to say thank you. From the teas of your list, I only know Luminary Misfit (which I also like a lot). Your description made me directly order a cake of the Fortune Teller. Already looking forward to try that one!

Nice! This comment inspired me to do a fortune teller session today. So good.

@@tearush So, the cake arrived today - and I directly had to try it. It's interesting (which I mean in a good way). So far, I mostly had young raw, or cooked puerh. This one - let's call it semi-aged - already feels a bit like a shou, but only a bit, some "raw" taste still shines through. I like that mixture. The first 1-2 steeps were super smooth. Then I got a bit too bold, I guess, and brewed it for too long - yes, there's the bitterness of a raw puerh. Thanks for the recommendation.

@@kail9757 May I ask how you feel about Fortune Teller now that a little time has passed? I’m in a similar situation, only had some relatively young Shengs and a few Shous, but all in all I’d say that I am still inexperienced when it comes to PuErh in general.

@@Trojanischer_Esel Short answer would be: I quite like it. Frankly, I'm not as hyped as the review in the video, but I definitely don't regret buying the cake. I re-read my first impression from the comment above, and to me it's still accurate: You can get some bitterness if you oversteep it, but if you don't, it's super smooth, and not as "green" tasting as a young Sheng PuErh: You get a sense of a bit of ageing, which made the tea rounder, more "calm" and quite approachable, and which I enjoy. It might not be the fruitiest nor the most exciting Sheng out there; but it's an easy-drinker, and a nice introduction to "semi-aged (or, slightly aged, if you want) Sheng", not as "raw" as a fresh Sheng anymore, yet totally different from a Shou. The white2tea description "perfect combination of affordability and age for daily drinking" fits very well.

@@kail9757 Thanks a lot for taking the time to reply in such a detailed way, really appreciate it! This actually sounds pretty good, I like the idea of a more rounded, calm and easy drinking Sheng, even if it’s not the most exciting. Definitely going to buy a 25g pack or maybe even a whole cake with my next white2tea order.
