What we really think of the WORLDS BIGGEST MOWERS made by SIP!!
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Garry and Benjamin join us to talk about SIP's 900T Merger and 1500 DISC Mowers, aka, the world's BIGGEST mowers! Are the mowers too big for smaller fields or is this a perfect investment? SIP's merger is a firm favourite of farmer Gareth's but what do you think?

GRASSMEN are the fast-paced, global agriculture phenomenon whose video content and merchandise are recognised worldwide. The business was started in 2009 by current director Gareth Gault, known to fans as ‘Donkey’. His love and passion for machinery allowed him to experiment with cameras and upload content to KZread. To his surprise, a large following soon developed and the niche in the market for real-life, documentary, farming and machinery action made it possible to drive the brand forward.
We at GRASSMEN, pride ourselves on providing an exclusive look into agricultural manufacturers, meeting real, working farmers, showing and demonstrating tractors and machinery through all seasons such as silage and slurry and ultimately educating and entertaining our fans.
If you love all things agriculture from top manufacturers such as John Deere, Fendt, Massey Ferguson, JCB, Land Rover and many many more, come and join #teamgrassmen, we would love to have you!

Sip mowers are impressive to see😉👍 the combination with the deere makes it even better😁👍 Thanks for the video👍
Personally I thought the sip merger was brilliant to use over the kuhn. As most know kuhn is less than good tbh. The only faults I found in the sip was the pickup reel was ti slow and didn't put the grass ti the back bord so you didn't know you lifted a stone. And the geometry in the headstock was not very good in the outside row in corners. Also the limited belt speed options on isobus. The kuhn has the advantage in them areas. I just don't see the sip falling apart like a kuhn in a year or 2
I've actually seen mowers SIP mowers over here in the U.S. I live in Michigan and I seen a place selling them a few years ago. Amazing site. Keep up the great videos. They were hooked too a big Fendt. They said VLM MO 48. Disc 1000c SIP. Just found the pictures of them from July 2020
I saw that mower at the royal Welsh show and donkey was by it that mower is a beast

any data regarding fuel usage with that setup ? how many litres / ha for example ? not pr hour. and personally i dont quite see the need for a bigger merger as its so flexible to collect 9m twice in one row and you have have much higher speed compared to normal rotor rake. i was out demoing a front 3m merger and the sales rep were doing 20kmh it long wet grass and it picked it all up nicely so i was really impressed and id imagine the trailed one too could handle higher speeds. only downsides is the cost + the weight of em xd

Hi chap the biggest thing being saved is time, fuel used would be around the same as a conventional 9ft set up over the total of the job, but time is the difference

@@alanchatfield4271 i am fully aware of that. And it means you can take on another job in the same day. Also increasing profit abit. But im still curious on what kind of fuel usage pr hectare/acre this 388hp tractor with 15m mowing does, simple as that😅 Cause the bottom line of economy comes from your input pr acre/ha vs output (silage/grains etc) Its the same as the various research projects ive been on over the last few years. Comparing ploughing vs various reduced tillage tools and direct drilling. There we used L / ha when comparing the tools and used same tractor. Which also calculated in savings and yield variances.

@@SlyFoxl couldn't tell you how many litres per/ha but that jd is sure to be about 55+ litres an hour when working, I see 38 litres an hour on a jd 6215R and thats dyno at 238 on the shaft,, this big set up is without a doubt the most efficient option for bigger fields, paying for it and getting the work for it would probably be the biggest problem lol
It was a bad year for plant that size 🫣
Cheaper than a Cougar!!
