My uncle got to see the one on the King Ranch. He worked for Exxon back then when they had an oil lease on the property. Said it was one big machine.

I am an OAE that operated a couple of the LGP 8’s on the ice in 76’ & 77’
Cat made 9 LGP D8 dozers for Antarctica back in the late 50’s or early sixties. Had pony motors and hydraulics for the blades.
