Me too. They're an essential item.
Thanks for introducing us to Manta. We’ve never been to Ecuador. We’re hoping to expand our horizons over the next few years, this place looks perfect. We love watching fisherman at work, so do all those birds!!! Love a Panama hat! You showed us some really interesting things. Cheers 🍻

Don't waste your time. Very crime ridden now. Watch your wallet, cell phones and do not flash any jewelry or money. I have many friends who live there. I prefer as do many Gringos/Expats...Cuenca
Great video. Nice work!

Good eye that the thumbnail photo isn't actually Manta. We are sporting the new hats we got in nearby Montecristi however. Thanks for commenting.
Guayaquil is the largest city in Ecuador, and it's Metropolitan area is so by far. Do your diligence before commenting.

You are indeed correct. Guayaquil is the largest city in Ecuador.
Thanks so much for your video. We will be going there next month and was wondering if you can give me the contact info for the panama hat store. Thanks again.

Do you have a place to recommend to eat grilled octopus or squid?

No specific places but there a number of restaurants down by the harbor that serve nice seafood. Thanks for commenting.
How much were the Panama Hats?

Hats at the place we went ranged in price, depending on quality, that is, the tightness of the weave. As I recall, lowest price hats were maybe $45 - 50, with the really high end hats going for as much as $800. Tanya's hat was about $90 and mine was about $220. I have the stores contact info if you're interested. Thanks for commenting.
don't forget your favorite bullet-proof vest and internal gps for easy recovery of your body.

It's pronounced guy-a-keel

Thanks for the input, Glenn. I think I'll need a review before I go to G-Town next time.😀
Please stop pronouncing Guayaquil that way. LOL. Great video otherwise!

Ah, thanks for the input. I just researched it and apparently it's pronounced "Gwayakill" not "Gwayakwill" as I've been doing. Good to know. Thanks for the comment and for watching.
