@@23codez It's a second language issue. His English is impeccable and his accent is very slight, but I think it's more about the inflection than timing. The way it was delivered the "to prove a point" comes off as "explaining the joke" (which makes a joke less funny) rather than being part of the punchline, which is the crux of any joke. If it the inflection was different in the delivery, it would have landed differently. It was a very funny joke and, unfortunately, I think the "to prove a point" may have even sailed over most of the audience's heads as "shooting him proves my argument in favor of gun control." Our society as a whole is not great at nuance.

This is actually a perfect set. Every joke kills and they are all so differently constructed. There's a theme throughout and some killer call backs. This rules. Hopefully we see more of this guy.

This room is just really spread out I think. You don’t hear a lot of laughter in any of the sets done here. You hear a lot of people laughing it’s just not loud.

The structure of his show is absolutely amazing. I love it when comedians do running jokes within one set and end their act by connecting their last sentence to something they have mentioned at the very beginning. Absolutely brilliant. Love from Morocco.

I totally agree with everyone, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought all that! Well, Kumail Nanjiani is awesome, and the world can use more of his humor. I guess he has a completely different take on things, no joke stealing or anything. Kumail's take on customer service was a skit on SNL where he realizes he's taking to Melania Trump (Cecily Strong) and they start talking for a long time, so hilarious!

I love how he gives off a wholesome vibe but also isn't wholesome lol
He's crazy clever with his material. I think his delivery was too chill for the audience and they missed the punchlines

I thought it was funny. But to take it literally for a second, what border were they patrolling? There's no border control from Washing to Oregon. Especially not starting from Spokane. Am I missing something?

I saw this guy last night in Denver Colorado, he killed, literally. I have not laughed so hard that I cried in a very long time. Perfect set, it was this sad but that’s OK, it was my first time seeing it. Subtle well written jokes, fantastic delivery, not too over-the-top. He has a future, hopefully a bright one

I got really excited when I heard him talking about Spokane but then very quickly became sad. I was super proud of Spo Con this year, too. I didn't even *know* that Border Patrol was pulling some crap up here and now I'm pretty upset.
