the less you bring, the better. You can always get some shirts and shorts at night markets. I follow the rule of 3 for the tropics (not sure if such a rule actually exists): 3 t-shirts, 3 pairs of underwear and 3 pairs of shorts. That's it! If you're organized and disciplined like me, it never hurts to do a quick hand wash while you're in the shower.

I like a sling bag that goes over your shoulder and stays in front. You can get them easily online. They can easily store a tablet/phone/wallet/passports/boarding cards etc. It is the best thing to use when travelling as its light and convenient to use. Gr8 video and tips.... my family and I will be there in Oct 21. Cant wait!

If you have a large bag - like I do this time (I'm here for three months) the only option is a taxi. As someone else said - everyone has black so it's very important to put stickers on it or attach tags so it is very clearly yours when you collect it at the other end. Totally agree with medications - not a problem. Some products such as specific moisturisers eg. Cetaphil (for eczema sufferers) is not readily available and is very expensive in Thailand. One of those waterproof dive bags are fantastic for day trips. I live in my flip flops (thongs). Long shorts (below the knee) are fine - I just roll mine down. And finally, bring your own sunscreen - not too big - as there are restrictions on local flights (eg. Koh Samui) on liquids in carry on baggage.

I like the Navy blue checked luggage and will go well with my carry on (r2d2). I really want to stay away from black because it seems like everyone who travels has black I want to stand out a bit. So when I claim my luggage it makes life easier. Thanks for the information.

About prescriptions .. some are over the counter at pharmacies yes , & a lot are so so cheap. Some I take are 20-30b 😮 in uk 🇬🇧 can be nearly £10 per prescription from gp

Agree with every point, apart from flip flops. After any storm the roads flood. Bring sandals or sensible shoes so you don't trip or fall. My travelling tips are, go carry on. Only take what you can pack on the bag on board. And avoid "duty free" at your airport. The prices are higher than in Thailand

Good advice. I carry a two-gang universal socket power board with built in USB charging sockets which I bought a few years ago in Panthip Plaza (a mall that's now sadly a shadow of its former self).

Have only ever brought a bag pack to Thailand much easier for travelling around

I travel minimal with only cabin luggage. Sometimes 8 kilo or 12 kilo are allowed. Always only soft luggage, because on a crowded bus I have to carry it on my lap. This time I want to buy a thing to boil water. There are many soups I could eat in the hotel and make my own coffee. Also a power bank. Last time I didn't bring an adapter, I bought the cheapest charger with cable. This worked fine. In Bangkok I bought high quality glasses, half the price of my country. I had to wait five days. AC is freezing cold, I always need a shawl or sweater.

Cigerettes in Thailand are about 70 thb for 20.Less than $3.

Recently I spent a week in thailand.. without Arsen it would have been so difficult for me to navigate. I watched all of his vlogs before entering thailand.. much informative and a great walkthrough on how to commute in travel. TBH i actually saved more than 10k bhats by using public transportation and getting to places where I needed to. Thanks Arsen! You were a great help for me and I will visit once again. 😊
