Buying a boat is often a large expense, you wouldn't buy a house without a survey right? The same goes for boats! A professional surveyor can be instructed to conduct a condition survey of each vessel prior to committing to purchase, this ensures you know there are no nasties lurking under the hull. They check for osmosis, delamination, unseen repairs, underwater damage, failing systems, electrical gremlins, engine performance and more to produce a written report for you to determine if you need to go back to the vendor of the boat and discuss or renegotiate concerning any recommendation or defects found on your independent report.
