Thank you for yet another video like this, as I will be starting R03 soon. Did you pass these exams using the proper CII study texts? As a lot of people have bought the BTS texts and said they are easier, especially for the more complex subjects.

Thanks for watching. I just used the CII study texts and Revisionmate. I haven't used the BTS texts so can't comment I'm afraid.

I can offer my own insight here as I caved and bought the BTS study material for R02 when I realised the CII's material wasn't going to work for me. Hats off to BTS as their material got me my highest R0 mark by far. The material was good and I didn't even take full advantage of the e-learning material, just the study text. I'd certainly recommend it if you're struggling with the CII material, which - as far as I'm aware - is fairly commonplace! With that said, I'm sure it won't suit everyone, so definitely shop around!
Has anyone else struggled with the textbook and the revision mate questions using different thresholds for stamp duty and NI

It may be because of the new tax year, but textbooks not being updated until September, which always seems bizarre to me!
My R04 exam is next week and it’s the first RO I’m sitting. So nervous 😭

Thanks for this. I have 25 credits of exemptions from my degree. Would employers still respect my diploma even if I’ve ‘skipped’ 2 of the 10 credit modules?

Hi Guy. The diploma is the diploma. All your employer needs to know is that you have achieved the diploma.

Hey mate, just a heads up, I don't think you can skip any of the modules for the diploma level (all the RO exams). I tried to get an exemption myself as I had done equivalent level 4 investment modules from the CFA and the CII still said I need to do all the RO exams. You can however use the exemption credits on chartered level - you have to apply through the CII portal to get them awarded. Hope this helps!

They're called exam guides and they're on the relevant CII qualification page listed down the right hand side

@@Louise.Fitzgerald_IFA ah, thanks very much! I had another question if you don't mind. If there is a multiple response question with say 5 possible answers, and only 3 are correct. If you get say 2 of the 3 correct answers, or put 2 correct and 1 wrong answer, do you get 0 marks for that question? I ask this as I have been doing the RevisionMate CII test papers, and I keep getting the multiple response questions " partially correct" rather than incorrect
