    Hi Kat, I just finished my rescue course, and you were right. Rescue course is the best... Fun, challenging, emotional at the same time... Doing search patterns, surfacing an unconscious diver, giving rescue breaths while towing to shore and carrying, is a lot of work... But after I managed doing all that, and my instructor said I did a good job, I really feel that I've actually achieved something... All the stuff learned in this course really makes me a better diver... I really recommend it...

    Hi Kat. I just completed my EFR certification last December 2023. I finished my theory part in rescue diver course, then will proceed with the practical part. This video is really of so much help.

    I did my basic in 2018. My advanced in 2019. Today I started my rescue course. Woohoo!!! I’m hoping when I go on my Little Cayman trip in October I will be certified there as a Master Diver. I forgot to mention. It will be my first ocean dive. Lol. So can’t wait.

    I completed the rescue Diver course last weekend.got to say it was a brilliant course when you realise how much everything you've learnt comes together.i did mine in water with not so good vid 2 meters if you was lucky and to find a diver in that vis was hard work.It was the bubbles that gave his position away.once again brilliant course and was fun to do as well

    How nice to do a complete weekend. As a team member of a disaster relief team of the Netherlands Red Cross i did a few of similar weekends for training and team building purposes. (First aid would not be a problem) It always a lot of fun. Same as you telling at dinner or breakfast some scenarios. We where staying in a hotel and we would like to do a night training with evacuating the hotel but the manager didn't thought that was a good idea. Still planning to start with diving. Hope to get started sooner than later. Nice video's and some are definitely informative for the near future. And your enthusiasm is contagious! Very nice!

    Thanks so much for the video! I’m really excited to get my Rescue Diver Certification. The plan is to go to the florida keys in November! I was going to take the online PADI course soon along with my friend who is also getting the certification with me. Is that a good option versus a class? It’s hard for shops to fill a class of people to take the course I feel...

  • @OceanPancake

    @OceanPancake

    Hi! Thanks for leaving a comment. I would personally always recommend doing a class since you have the opportunity to talk to a dive instructor and get any questions you may have answered right there and then by an expert. Then again, the online option is really as good as YOU make it. If you are dedicated and study hard and do the reading and think through things, it does have all the necessary information. It is however really easy to slack off and just do the bare minimum, which in the end will be doing no one except yourself a disservice. :)
