I really appreciate your content. I wish I had discovered it sooner. In the last 2 hears I have consulted with 3 plastic surgeons and I have gotten almost the same response from each. I'm in my early 40s. I'm thin, teach fittness classes, and have a thin long face. No skin is hanging below my jaw, but my nasal labial folds and marionette lines are pronounced. (I dont smoke.) My temples are caved in as well and I have malasma. In each consultantation, I made a point of saying that the malasma doesn't bother me. But my aging face does. In each case the suggested treatments are filler, threads and different kinds of skin treatments for the malasma....chemical peel, LaseMd, etc (even though I said the malasma isn't a concern.) I have had some filler and it has improved the temples and tear trough, but there is no change to my nasal labial folds from the filler put in my cheeks. I did 3 treatments of Vivace and LaseMd and see no noticable difference in skin tone or texture or tighteness, which is what I was told would be a result of these treatments. In each case I have been told I'm not a candidate for a face lift. I'm interested n what you would say to someone who still has a good jawline and neck.....is filler in this case the best option? I asked one surgeon about fat transfer and he said I didn't have enough of the right kind of fat......I'm starting to dread that I have to live with what I feel is a prematurely aged face for 5-10 more years before it's "bad" enough to actually be improved. I'm not looking for a super tight face, I just want to bring those folds up away from my mouth. Thanks in advance for any insight, I realize without seeing me in person it's hard to give a definitive answer.

I can’t tell you just how very helpful the last part of your consultation was for my decision-making process. I too, have had a difficult experience under full anesthesia (difficulty in being brought out), and have worried that a deep-plane would not be offered under local anesthetic (I had done ok with local & local IV, during lesser cosmetic procedures). I think I’m sold, but the waiting list for Dr. K must be very lengthy.

I'm still looking for a video that explains what exactly happens during a consult when you are looking to *identify* the PS you feel good about. I had what I thought was a very disappointing consult with a well-known PS on the East Coast. He said hello and promptly took all angle photos. Then we sat in his office (he sat a few feet away from me behind his desk). I told him I wanted a DPFL/NL and lower bleph. He agreed. I then asked a few questions and that was it. He never examined my face closely, never touched my face, never even mentioned my age (and I'm pushing 70, but still in good facial shape). He said he would do the lower bleph by *repositioning the fat pads*, but after I got home, I researched that and learned that it is NOT advisable to use that technique, which was popular in the 1990s. He NEVER reviewed my medical history (astonishing!), never asked about my lifestyle, reasons for wanting surgery... so, now I'm concerned. Is this a typical consult? Or was I expecting too much? It didn't seem like much of an evaluation at all.

Gina is an inspiration and so are you❤. What Id like to see if you can show is more info about the fat transfer, like where you take it from and how much fat you need? Do you take enough fat from our thighs that you can see a visible reduction in that area or you dont take need to take that much?

OMG! This was so cool and helped me understand aging so much better! Thank you for this! I am 43. I think it would help me too. Does it matter what age I do this? If I did something like this, would I be able to stop using fillers? Also, would it decrease my use of Botox or would I still need as much? Such as for crows feet.

Hello Dr.Karam, I love your channel and your work. I am really interested in your skincare. A lot of influencers do videos that provide before and after treatment videos. It would be great to see photos of your patients after they have used your products. just an Idea. There is also a woman on youtube, Lorry Hill (love her) who had plastic surgery which she discusses and she also reviews procedures celebs may have had. She says she chose her plastic surgeon based on the before and after photos-the women looked 10 years younger. I think your patients look 10 years younger, too.

Hi, I’ve ichthyosis on my lower legs - below knees till ankles- right from birth…. I’m unable to wear any dress 👗 Compulsorily I have to wear full legs covered attire always in all seasons Really tired of this… Can we change it? Can my legs will be normal with plastic surgery?

Do you mean scars, or did you mean to type scares? Dr Karam has talked about scars before (on YT & IG) and shown them in some of his post-op patients. Scarring is minimal and hidden but it can also depend on one’s genetics and whether they keloid or not. There’s lots of ways to improve surgical scars, such as silicone gel/tape products, laser resurfacing, etc. What has not been proven to be helpful are products like Bio Oil, Mederma, Cocoa/Shea/Coconut Butters, and others.

Quick question. I’m scheduled for Nov 22. Is there anything with my sallow yellowish dill skin besides using your your skin care line I should be doing to improve the textures and skin before I do this. With the fat transfer will there be issues with doing facial treatments and or later after surgery and fat transfer having like prp micro needling or laser

Ablative laser resurfacing can really get your skin healthy before surgery and applying & reapplying sunscreen everyday is crucial. Good luck! 👍

If you watch/listen to the video, Dr Karam said he’d be posting a journey video once his patient heals, which will show her outcome post-surgery.

Can we just say we want to look younger? We don't have to use the excuse that we want to "make the outside match the inside." What if someone feels older than they are? I am sure that making the outside match the inside wouldn't be a priority then. Younger = prettier. Let's just be honest

Great comment. In my case, I don't feel particularly "young", never did. Never even looked "young" or care to, now. I just find jowls and saggy skin ugly and a reflection of my future decay. I could say that jowls don't reflect who I am, but that's because they're distorting the face I always had. Basically, my motivation is not to have ugly sag.😆

How much does such a thing cost? Must be 10s of thousands of dolalrs
