Hey y'all! Today, I just talk about what it's like being a kinesiology and premed major at my school.
**Also, I'm sorry about the planes in the background. I live near a private airport, and I mostly don't even notice the planes anymore :/

Hi! I’m a Kinesiology grad, now an MD in my second year of residency! I felt Kinesiology gave me a really strong basic science foundation. I still refer to what I learned in my exercise physiology class to explain some concepts to other residents/med students! And I loved the activity classes in my knes major. Good luck in your journey!

I love your approach to school. I have been wondering if I should go back to school to get a bachelor's, but I haven't found that major that interests me. Thanks for sharing.

You go ma! I was in school for PTA, I did great in my schoolwork until my kinesiology courses came up. It was a whole other language I just could not get and I developed mad respect for those who did. I couldn’t make it to my Clinicals because I did so poorly in kinesiology. That class took out a lot of PTA students. I know the words are based in Greek and that’s exactly what it was to me...... Greek.

Hi, So when you refer to the premed your doing are you talking about your kines major or are you doing a whole sperate premed degree and kines degree, very curious because I'm looking into going into kines next year and want to know if I can apply to med school or dentistry with the degree because I know many Uni's and Colleges have specific courses you must take to be eligible.

Great question! So my school offers a co-major called Premedical studies, so that's what I'm doing alongside my kinesiology major. Some colleges will do something like that, while others won't. For med and dental schools, as long as you take the required prerequisites, you don't need to have a specific premed degree to get in

Do you find it rare of people with kinesiology majors being premed? Or do you know a couple of people who choose that route? Btw love this video, hopefully your channel will get the recognition it deserves!

I know a bunch of other people who are majoring in kinesiology and are also premed. And in some of the med school seminars I go to, there are a lot of inquiries about kinesiology and premed, so I think it's becoming a pretty popular major

@@kandidko139 what’s your opinion on this? I want to major in something science related that will include at least most of my pre-reqs for Med school and I want to be fluent in Spanish so basically minor in it

Ayee that's so cool! Yea, kinesiology classes are definitely easier than premed courses, plus they're usually more interesting. At least at my school, but every school is different :)
