OMG the blue malta grotto! You are a better man (than I although I'm a wOman) to tackle those crashing waves! (but how refreshing oh my)! I know a lot of people who travel alone and it's great but it almost seems it's meant to be shared :) You are always uber entertaining, Valletta Malta is a place I never knew I needed to see until now! Great video. The food at Harbour Club is not typical Maltese and is expensive but I love how you enjoy everything you've eaten.

As a Maltese person i suggest for an authentic maltese meal you should either go to nenu the artisian baker (Valletta) or diar il bniet (Dingli). As for authentic pastizzi the best ones can be found from crystal palace aka is serkin (Mdina). Rabbit, beef olives, baked macarooni, baked rice, octopus stew, the maltese ftira pizza, pastizzi... These are a few of the typical maltese dishes :)

Omg so funny, we have a cold rice salad like that (12:02) in Morocco too! I love it! Also the language is really similar.

Just back from a two week holiday in Malta (Spinola Bay) yesterday 😀, visited Valletta a few times, the architecture is beautiful, kennie tastes unusual, honey rings are like a very sweet fig biscuit. Walked out to Silema Bay and watched the sun rise and continued on out to Fort Moneol for a little look around. I also went out to pop eye village (were the pop eye film was made), swam at the blue lagoon , went on crazy Tonys 20min speed boat tour and visited Gozo and Mdina too. It really was a lovely place to spend a very long overdue holiday. I hope you enjoyed your stay as much as I did mine 👍✌

I’ll go there in beginning of November. First time.🙌🏻 Hotels are crazy cheap off season. That’s why I booked really nice boutique hotels far away from the party zone, St. Julians& Co. I’m most thrilled about the ancient sites because I’m a history maniac. The Harbour Club restaurant was already on my to do list. So thanks for reassuring me.

Great video....Welcome to Malta...driving same as in the United Kingdom. We were a british colony for more than 15o years so what can you expect!!!! Maltese people saw the car invented and driven on our roads under the British rule....so we did nt hava a choice lol.

@@EuroTrotter And also, I would recommend visiting Mdina but spending couple of hours there ;) cause its really nice city with tiny cobblestone streets and and have a dinner at www.bacchus.com.mt/, its nice with Medival ceilings and they make really good Maltese rabbit. Cheers.

Kannoli ( cannoli ) are originally from Sicily, not really typical Maltese, but proximity to Sicily explains that. Also , in my opinion , Kinnie tastes best from a glass.

What you saw it's only Valletta ,yes there hills .in Valletta there's a story to tell and things to see you have to be there and see for yourself. If you don't want to walk there are mine taxi to go around Valletta. But to see every inch good by walk you're love it.

Yes, would definitely go back. I don't mind paying for food, if it's worth it...and it honestly was one of the most memorable tomatoes I've ever had, I think it's all about the soil, which appears quite unique in Malta. That said, I typically avoid dishes that look like this, Michelin, etc....BUT, I was really surprised at how incredible the entire meal was...with a few glasses of local wine, it was the perfect first night meal! More Malta on the way this Sunday!

@@telawsonartzy6880 thank you, it was a huge shocker for me, in that it was awesome. One of the highlights of our entire trip. It has such a different feel, I loved it and would highly recommend.

The stairs in valetta are like that because the knights with their armor could not lift their legs.

Good review of my island, but some of the food you say is Maltese traditional food is not. The food at the harbour club is Italian. And the food at the food market like scewers and rice with corn is eastern Mediterranean food, definitely not maltese

The only Maltese dishes were the honey ring and pastizzi actually.

Boston Grill is anything but Maltese food 😂

The pastizzi you tasted were not traditional. You should have went to serkin in rabat.

They are actually really cheap. I think its 40c each one and they have different fillings.
