I love this. Not at the actual school campus but my daughter was born with kidney issues and was treated at UC Davis hospital and I am currently part of clinical trials at a UC Davis academic clinic! I love all that UC Davis has to offer.

I graduated 1986 from UCD and got to experience the OG Coffee House. So much character there. We would hang out, study, philosophize, dream about future, and so much more. I’ll never forget that place. Wish you could have seen it. I wonder if I could find video footage of it somewhere. Enjoyed your vlog. Davis is a truly special campus and town. Will always hold the most special of places in my heart ❤

I went to La Kora last week after watching this. It was a bit out of my way but it was so worth it! Best Al pastor tacos I have ever had! And the Peliscada was fantastic! Thank you so much for introducing me to them. I will be back!

this was super fun, my parents met at UC Davis and I've spent a good amount of time in the town and still vlog still showed me new places and campus areas I never went to :) We always still go every year for Whole Earth Festival in May!

Love your videos and thank you both for sharing your walk down memory lane. It brings back memories of my own college days - a very long time ago (Rodney King, Northridge earthquake, OJ Simpson days - graduated the year UCLA won its last NCAA championship title). I also got accepted to UCD and a couple of out-of-state universities, rejected at UCB (my preferred choice), and ended up attending UCLA (no regrets) . . it's nice to see what I missed or didn't miss by not choosing Davis.

I graduated from Davis in 2016 and need to go back! So many cool new hip things and foods! Whenever we’re in town though we make sure to visit Dumpling House!

Walking down memory lane! I didn't go to Davis but had an emeritus professor who helped me a lot with my bee project. I would go visit him away from the main campus in the Bee Biology area, and would always stop at Pedrick market.

never attended uc davis but had friends who did and so I was always in Davis and aaaa I literally drive just for mandros tea house haha 🥹 but also thanks for sharing!

This was fun to watch! I'm also a UCD alum. Wow, the campus has changed so much! I graduated in 2006 (yeah, I'm old, lol). My favorite place was the arboretum. I went there pretty much every day. I miss the ducks, lol. I live near Vallejo, so maybe I'll take another trip over there sometime since it's not too far away for me. I remember when Dumpling House had pretty bomb fish and chips. Not sure if they do anymore, though.

OMG! Kemper basement! But when I was there, it was Engineering Unit II. Also, I probably was working for the music department when you were there. Crazy! BTW, I was Comp Eng with a minor in Music.

Dannnnnnnnng UCD got hella upgrades since I’ve been there. I was class of 2010. I was Segundo, too! I was in Bixby tho :) Hope you hit up Sam’s in part 2, but if not, I understand lmao. There’s just too much good food! Fun fact: when I went to school there, the only place that had boba was Old Teahouse. There was a TapEx, but they shut down before my time because of a shooting or something. My first job ever was at Quickly, which opened up in I think my sophomore year. Looks like OTH still standing strong lol. Quickly? Well 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 Also, there’s a T% in Santa Clara next to Sulbing. I’ve been meaning to check it out, but I’m always too full from Sulbing lol. It’s a bummer you didn’t like the Davis location. Their SC Yelp reviews look good.

Fun reliving old memories!

The first stop you guys went to with the taco truck is actually the city of Woodland not Davis. Woodland is known for their authentic taco trucks. Davis has a few trucks but not as many or as authentic.

I wanted to attend Davis because I love the area but they didn't offer me enough financial aid 😢 so I attended UCM instead and still got my cow experience
