What to do with your poo while in Turkey? / Sailing Aquarius Ep. 154

We just arrived to Turkey couple of days ago and we are eager to move up north to Marmaris and meet up with "Zatara" a family we sailed with for almost a year in the Indian ocean and Red Sea. It was time to celebrate -Zatara finished their circumnavigation in Turkey! So we sailed to Marmaris, which, now is our favorite place in Turkey.
And thanks so much for watching 🙏
Stay tuned as next Friday 12PM EST we release a new video 🎥

@0:35 ... Amels have some great angles that's for sure. Not sure any sailboat can look better. Is is the shape and to my eye, its shape was influenced by the shape of a shark.

Turkiye is expensive even for Turkish people. Plus everything related to marine in that region is in euros. After election things will start settling down. You should visit other towns like cappadocia, Ephesus, etc. I will be in Greece islands in this July. Maybe I will catch you guys there. Greetings from Austin TX….

@@SailingAquarius Doing a Major refit, do you think like others adding as much solar power as possible with as many controllers, from hard too soft. I sailed 7200 miles from NYC too Bangor Maine, to the cape and back on our Beneteau Oceanus 350 10 years, raised my two sons. 110 gallons of fresh water, no GPS , sextant and dead reckoning and charts. One fridge, One Freezer, basically coastal sailing, and incredible anchoring as my sons wanted too find Black Beards lost treasure, stopping at Marinas for 5 gallons of diesel while I put 100 gallons of fresh water in our Starlight. With an 8d and 4D had plenty of power, for the One hour a day I would run the engine a Volvo m2003 28 hp which would charge up, and at 1800 rpm give us the hot water for showers.. Always dreamed of a water Maker but they were very expensive, thus spent the money on an auto pilot and instruments. I have always dreamed about the type of sailing and sailboat that you guys have but has sons too turn into men , Ones is a LTCMDR Navy test Pilot, the other a millionaire who runs his security firm out of Dallas, they are 33 and 30, would like too think those summers on Starlight made the men they are today. Then seven years ago I had a stroke was dead over 5 minutes, was fully Paralyzed on my right side. Thus years of recovery, then covid, all the time she is in the hard at the yard. So she needs a refit, and been too shows with her shallow draft of 3’10 , just me and the wife, we were looking too go further like the ICW to Bahamas and beyond in our retirement. Sorry for being so long winded, my wife loves our boat, she is very comfortable sailing her, she is afraid of the larger yachts if something would happen to me etc, she feels that those boats even a Hylas 49, so the best I can do with a compromise is refit and go from there. Will never put a generator on Starlight she only has 800 hours after 20 years of sailing. If the wind is over 12knots she flys, her wing keel really helps. I would rather give her to my eldest, she can be a young man, or woman boat. Either way, I am going too put an arch with solar, then the flexible solar panels. Just wanted too say how much I enjoy your channel my wife a Lawyer her parents came from Poland and Russia, she was born here. So if we ever cross paths I owe you both a dinner, watched your videos through very rough times in my life. Bravo Zulu Captain, and God Bless..
