When I started to get bored about a month ago I moved all my villagers' houses to the beach, flattened my entire island, and redecorated the entire thing. Lots of fun, and less harsh than a full restart!

This is cool and all but everyone’s just gonna ignore the fact that she has 1,805 HOURS of gameplay on Splatoon 2. That’s about 75 days worth, and considering it came out on July 21, 2017, that’s 1107 days since it came out to the time of me writing this comment, and assuming I did the math correctly, she averaged around 1.63 hours per day. But don’t assume she played every day, since she probably played for more hours on some days then other. Edit: also assuming that she started playing the day it came out, which I don’t know.

i send my friends gifts with terrible puns on the cards when i get bored. their reactions are always priceless, and it's a nice way to prevent item exchanges from feeling too clinical!

I really hate the dialogue in this game! I swear, in past games I never read this much repetition! I have three normal villagers at the moment and a lot of time it’s the SAME dialogue on repeat for all three of them. Growing up I didn’t even know there were villager types, now it’s shoved in your face with limited dialogue.

here’s a tip: you have to get 9 villagers before you get to a 3 star rating! so buy those plots tom nook is asking you to sell, also wasps are a good thing to get and sell, they sell 2k a piece

Last month I moved every building into a small space and terraformed the whole island It really does shake things up and gives you a goal to work towards while also feeling like a fresh start without losing anything I also constantly let villagers move out of my island to keep things from getting too stale (I keep my favorites of course, like any sane person would do)

ButterdCrump3ts i dont think switch lite joycons drift. i have one (because i didn’t want to force my parents to buy me a regular 300$ one for my birthday) and it hasn’t drifted AT ALL. the only time i experienced drift is with my cousins joycons. she has the normal switch. i had my switch lite since april 9th

I think the whole ending bit about taking a step back and putting the game down, even for weeks when you’ve sunk hours in, is such an important message. Once a game starts getting stale the WORST thing to do is to burn yourself out on it because you’ll never pick it up again otherwise. 100% onboard with that message 👏

2:14 Spectacularly, those two were my very first starting villagers! Just got hit with a massive wave of nostalgia and amazement seeing them be starters together again!!

Everbody: has multiple fully upgraded houses Me: has one house without a basement

When I'm bored I play a different game.

Me: **isn’t bored in animal crossing** **clicks anyway**

I loved how others personalized their villagers' yard, so that's what I've been doing to change things up. It's taking some time as I have to move houses to get more yard space (I don't time travel), but it's looking good so far and it makes the game more interesting thinking of things the villagers would like on their property.

I have yet to get bored. Not time traveling has helped a lot. Also been trying to catch 5 of everything in the game for the CJ/Flick model, Blathers, and 1 spare to put next to the model. Tending to a garden and then using the profit from it to buy anything you want in the game also works pretty well to saturate the time since it often has a specific goal of do gardening so you can gain resources so you can trade those resources for other resources that then convert into anything in the game that are then used to build up a house or island.

How to not get bored: Don’t try and speedrun a game that’s meant to be played over the course of a year with slow and steady progress

I think part of the reason it’s boring is bc the updates are monthly so even TT isn’t really worth anymore until the updates are all out for the activities like jingle and stuff. Since I usually TT cause I work so I barely have time to play much.

I really appreciate that you said that taking a break isn't the end of the world. I recently took a month long break both because I was getting bored and I started college. Now I am more hyped than ever to get back into the grind and decorate my island. I am so glad I took a rest and am satisfied knowing that AC:NH was still there for me.

I do 1 small ( yet hard ) objective everyday to stretch the game out as long as possible, yet still have lots of fun

I took about a 2 months break from the game. It started to feel like a job to play it. Doing the same thing over and over again. Recently got back into it and it’s so nice being excited about the game again. Taking a break was a great idea for me.

Finished up my island to 5 stars, then got a tad bored after awhile. I find the most fun thing to do is just re-design your island. It may be chaotic for a bit but the end result is always fun!

This video is so cute! I do strongly agree with checking out what other people have done, finding inspiration on reddit and pintrest is what keeps me going!

Good tips! I personally love just strolling around daily, dig up fossils, the bell tree spot, do some fishing, catch bugs, change something when I feel like it. I also love my villagers. Have no dreamies really, whomever I like I invite, making sure I have a variety of traits in town. My advice would be go with the flow instead of constantly trying to chase goals and beat the system (time traveling). And while social media and multiplayer is great for this game, don’t let it take over. I see too many people feeling bad over their own islands because they’re no decor wonder worlds. It’s not a battle. If you love your world, that’s all that matters. P.s. I also enjoy the Dreamsuite in this game, there are some amazing worlds out there to visit that way.

My island is such a mess, flowers everywhere not even arranged, old place left, random waterfall here, that... I love my island.

fun fact: with 2 players, you can use the call resident app. with this, you can easily pick flowers and weeds without taking up space. and they end up going to the drop off box, so if you need to pick flowers you want to use later, they'll still be there

just got back into animal crossing after a few months. i fully restarted and it was the best choice ive ever made. im having so much fun redoing everything, and because i took a break it doesnt just feel like im doing the same thing again

@girby kru I played since wilde world and skipped new leaf because i didn't like the 3ds, so i can't make comparisons, i have to say that the villagers are quite hollow if you put them near those of wilde wolrd, but i love the amount of customization, also there will be new updates so there will be new features to play with.

5:18 made me laugh. Way back when New Leaf was only about a year old I convinced a friend to get into it. He is a huge fan of old-school RPGs so I pitched New Leaf as "An RPG without random battles." I actually got him his 3DS XL but it counted for three gift events, two birthdays and a Christmas. He ended up really liking it and I had someone locally to play with. He then actually got a Switch before I did and pre-ordered New Horizons on the eshop.

i really needed a video like this, i burned myself out after grinding for the first 3 weeks and now i can pick it up more often again :)

I’m trying to make my island look nice and organized and have a vintage type theme- so far it’s going horribly because it’s still a wreck but I’m getting a lot of coins to move places like the shops and homes! :) someday I’ll have my dream island.

Something I did last month was create an account to make a Restaurant and Lounge. It took about a week as my main account supplied all the funds. In the end, it was a fun project that resulted in a seaside themed lounge.

I made my 2nd house into a bowling alley!

Some people have really cool islands that you can visit while dreaming! I once visited a maze. Or you can try entering random codes for clothing and see what happens

I am focused in crafting gifts for the villagers daily, so I can increase my chances to get those sweet framed photos right now. Also, completing the daily Nook Miles activities is a good incentive to keep playing.

Sea is pronounced the same way we pronounce the letter c So when we catch a sea bass the joke implies that we caught a 'c bass' as if it was a grading system So your character simply says 'more like c+' Its like saying even though its an average fish it's still good enough I hope this explains it for you I'm such a big fan of this jokes and to the point where if I don't get it I research it lol :)

I finished everything thing in June and I was so bored so I didn’t play for the rest of June and when I got back i started kicking out villagers and getting my dreamies now I’m just missing one of my villagers (coco)

A technique to get rocks to spawn in the locations you want them to is to put Manniquins all over your island to force the game to spawn rocks in your desired location. It's very tedious but looks great in the end

I have also found it fun to try and recreate my favourite album covers in custom designs and hang them on my walls

I make it my end game goal to finish an island in one season. So I did autumn last time, now I’m doing summer, next I want to do spring. I also changed up my island ideas. Last time I just did whatever, this time I’m trying to do more of a cottage core style, next I want to try to do heaps of terraforming and something crazy

One thing really like to do is go in the able sisters and see what the most expensive outfit is I don’t buy it but it’s kinda fun to see how weird or good it looks

I restarted my island a couple months ago and I’m so happy I did!

I would also say that it’s fun to decorate your island for the different seasons!

Amazing video now i know what i look forward to!

Another tip is : Make your island theme the seasons ! I really recommend doing it cause you can TOTALLY change it every 3 months! I have no regrets doing this theme since I've got the game at the release date

I've only been playing for a month, so definitely not bored. But something I like to do is go to a mystery island and gather every resource I can. When I get back to my island, I make random things to use up all the new materials I just got so I can sell them.

2:15 wow I had the same first villagers as you in that new island

If you decide to restart ur island, first make sure that it’s up to date in the dream sweet and that you have the dream code. Then you can visit it every day, and if you have friends who play you can drop and inventory full of items at their island before you reset so you can keep them

Me and my wife both share a switch. I found out a while ago that you can use both Joy cons and load both of our profiles. It was nice to both be able to run around and fish and take pictures with each other. Just something to help out if you get bored!
