What to do in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in addition to the obvious? In this vlog, we show some of the most beautiful places in Kuala Lumpur that many tourists don't visit, like Istana Negara, Perdana Botanical Garden, the National Monument, and Masjid Negara.

► WHO AM I?
Short answer: I am a Brazilian-American journalist living in Florida. After traveling the world working with sports, news, and events for over 15 years, I realized that what I really love is the travel part of it all. So I exchanged the life in the newsrooms and stadiums for the daily challenge of being an independent content producer. I created this channel to share the beauties of the world... stuff that for so long I only kept to myself. Malaysia is such a nice place.. I've said this before.. the Malay people are generally very kind, polite and well-mannered! KL is super Modern and the Islands have the best beaches in the World (Langkawi, Perhentian)

For the east coast islands like Perhentian or Redang, they are not opened to tourists during monsoon season (Nov-March).

I lived more than 8 years in Malaysia. There is no where in the world like Malaysia .It has a unique taste. I miss everything out there. 🇺🇸 🇲🇾 💘

Awesome... you should DEFINITELY visit Putra Jaya (Malaysia's administrative capital south of KL) for STUNNING Architecture. Mosques, Palaces.... and Melaka.. for amazing Portuguese relics!

That's because you can't feel the heat and humidity from her videos. In general, walking in KL when the weather is hot is not nice. You get drenched in sweat walking 100m.

KL is an amazing city. We spent about 3 hours in Perdana Botanical Gardens and also went to the Bird Park. Seeing Istana Negara is a very short stay of 15 minutes to take pictures of the palace. I've been to the place with the fountain is but I don't know the name. Yes I visited the National Mosque since I'm a muslim from England and it is nice. However, Jamek Mosque with the River Of Life was a must-see place at night - truly amazing. We were in KL for 3 days and explored many places - truly one of my favourite cities in the world

I went to a few places in Malaysia such as KL, Putrajaya, Penang, Malacca, Langkawi, Perhentian Islands, Redang Island - all amazing places. I did combine one of my Malaysia trips with Singapore (a 3 day stay). I've done most of SE Asia such as Thailand and Indonesia too as well as Malaysia and Singapore

When I go to KL, all I wanted to see is during night time! It's the best thing I've ever experienced in KL but I'm so jealous of you being able to see the city skyline in a much higher and better place.

Hi Renata, I'm a fan of your vlogs and I am a Malaysian living in Kuala Lumpur. For Malaysians, we are used to the higher priced drinks in a bar/discotheque/club. It is not exactly expensive for Malaysians standard. Thank you for visiting KL. The lake garden is my favourite park this is where I do my regular runs.

KL have some hotel or condo, apartments u can stay as airbnb, they have amazing view of KL city centre skyscraper & infinity swimming pool at the rooftop.. Entrance is free if u r the guest.. Thanks for ur upload can't wait for ur next videos..

Another great video. Somehow you seem to bring out the splendor of places you visit. I would like to see Putrajaya through your lenses. It is the administrativr "capital", and a futuristic city, built with extreme plannng. During my first visit some 20 years ago, I was simply awed by it's beauty that I parked my car by the side of the road and started enjoying the view around, appreciating the effort put in by the planners. I also saw some guys jogging along the special paths for joggers, which made me very envious, as I too am an avid jogger but I had no sports gear with me then.
Finally haha ! Hope u enjoy ur trips in Malaysia❤️

Thanks for this great video of my home city Kuala Lumpur. I just wanted to add an insteresting bit of information on the giant war monument in your video. It was done by Felix de Weldon, an Austrian born American sculptor who also did the famous US marine corp "iwo jima" monument. The monument was also damaged in a bomb attack by communist guerillas in 1975 and fully restored after as you can see.

Hi Renata, you should visit Malacca portuguese settlement and explore their unique Kristang language (Malay + Portuguese language). KL is a great city, I grew up in KL but Penang and Malacca has more to offer.
Nice video from a pro....can learn a lot frm technical aspects as well as blending with human aspects...hehe
