During my visit, I just rented a bicycle from a small shop in old town, showed my cruise card and left a deposit, and cycled leisurely for a couple of hours, including along the beaches, there's a nice cycle route.

Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. The hop on and hop off busses are a great option if you've not planned anything and just want to have an overview of the port without lots of walking.

Brilliant video - gutted to be watching this 2 weeks after visiting Cadiz, ha! I totally agree that Seville could be a mistake if you've never been to Cadiz - I was so surprised how beautiful the port area itself is!

muchas gracias por sus lindos comentarios. Filmamos parte del video en enero, así que era un día nublado, pero Cádiz seguía siendo muy hermosa. thank you so much for your lovely comments. We filmed some of the video in January so it was a cloudy day - but Cadiz was still very beautiful.

We're on another cruise in May and will be visiting Cádiz for the second time. I think we will explore on our own to see sights we didn't see the first time. I found your video and your blog very helpful in planning our itinerary. Thank you!

I’m so pleased it was helpful. If you want the best tapas then head to TABERNA CASA MANTECA which is on Calle del Corralón de los Carros. My sister visited last year to test out my guide and mentioned this was a great place but get there early - it’s popular with the locals.

Will be stopping here in august, approximately how long was your sightseeing walking tour from the ship port? Is everything in close proximity or do we need to take the hop on hop off bus to the landmarks?

we got off ship at about 09:30am and then didn't rush around things and took a leisurely stroll around things stopping to take photos etc. We were at the park with the waterfall at about 11:00am and then headed to the Mercado de Asbastos about 12: 0 where we spent about an hour over lunch and a beer. We were back at the ship at about 15:30. Hope that helps.

Is this also considered Seville?

It is down on a lot of itineraries as Cadiz for Seville (like London for Southampton and Civitaveccia for Rome, Pirraes for Athens, Livorno for Florence) but Cadiz is very much a destination in itself.

Me sorprende la guia que muestra al principio en la que pone Seville y entre paréntesis Cádiz, pues te digo que Sevilla no tiene nada que ver con Cádiz, ni Cádiz con Sevilla, son dos ciudades totalmente distintas que la separan una de la otra poco más de cien kilometros.

Muchas de las líneas de cruceros afirman que el puerto es "para Sevilla", por lo que los pasajeros de cruceros suelen perder la belleza de Cáfiz y en su lugar se dirigen a Sevilla. Lo cual creo que es un error ya que hay mucho que ver y hacer en Cádiz.

Decirte que Sevilla también es una ciudad preciosa, pero Cádiz tiene mucha historia y sitios para visitar que los guias no llevan a los turistas, para lo pequeña que es la ciudad tiene muchas Iglesias, La Santa Cueva , El Oratorio de San Felipe Neri, La Cueva del Pajaro Azul, El Museo Provincial, El Teatro Romano, La Catedral, La Avd. de la Bahia con unas vistas impresionantes de la Bahia.
