I just wanted to thank you, until recently I’ve been worried about my future and I finally know what I’m gonna do, because you’re videos have helped me make a plan and find a passion for my life, instead of working my whole life and being a corporate slave I’ve decided I’m going to work hard and buy a few acres of land and live a peaceful life doing what I love, thanks for the inspiration. Also I love that you call them chicky babies.

Save money on oyster shells by buying them in a 50# bag. I also buy the food grade/ animal grade diatomasious earth in 50# bags at the Farm Store. Store it in 3 5gallon buckets. Use for de-worming.

I have learned a lot from your videos, thank you! I am going to start my flock this fall and would like to know if I could keep 5 hens comfortably in a 4'x8'x2' chicken tractor with a open bottom coop of 4'x4'x2' on top of it. I will be moving this coop in the mourning before I go to work and when I get back they will be free ranging in the yard. I am in Gainesville Georgia so I don't think that the chickens will get cold in the winter. If the temp falls I can move them into the garage overnight and move them back out in the mourning. Just wanted your thoughts and to thank you for your efforts. Have a great day Becky!!

Hi Becky! I am a new subscriber. I love your videos. I have a question regarding my chickens. My boys recently each got a baby chick. We also have 4 adult hens. The babies are now grown and in the pullet stage. One of the chickens is a Golden Buff and the other is a Barnevelder.(sp?). The Barnevelder is extremely attached to the Golden Buff. She constantly tries to hide under the GB belly. When my boys are with the chickens and each holding theirs, the Barnevelder starts chirping very LOUD. She sounds like she is being killed. Then she will usually start biting at her talons. Is there a way to get her to become calmer? I feel one of these days, she is going to get so stressed, she is going to have a heart attack. What can we do? Thank you! Tina

And felt he was lonely so i added 4 hens. Well flash foward to after i find your channel and bam im 22 chickens deep lol looking forward to what i get from my tractor supply. Actually there is an advantage of getting a tall fence for your chicken run and that's because it makes cleaning a lot easier. If you get a really short one you're going to be crunching down and bending over a lot in there when you're shoveling etc. If you have a tall one you can do it a lot more comfortably.

And I'm glad I got non medicated food because I thought about getting the medicated but decided not to. And my baby chick's love them meal worms they just go crazy for them..

We were using a heat lamp about a month ago, it must have been damaged somehow, while using it we heard a big pop and realized the bulb had a hole where the 2 colors meet. The bulb was still working with the hole, we quickly turned off the lamp and trashed the bulb. I am a bit nervous around the heat lamps now.

I use the Brinsea brooder heaters for my youngins. No fire hazards. But the mealworms are a "MUST HAVE". Shake the bag and they come running. Pecking order goes to hell when you shake that bag. I have 14 girls, and 6 hands full satisfies them plus a half handful for my special lap girl(a leghorn). If chick days are coming, I need to build a tractor for 30 Cornish. I love my TSC. In fact I'm going today for 4 bags of feed and a bag of scratch. I love your videos, keep them coming.

The people there are usually really nice I think it was one manager though. The funny thing is there was another guy there not wearing and nobody said anything to him. And this was right before Christmas. We were actually Christmas shopping. So we left and haven't been back since. We go to other locals. I refuse to live in fear.
