It seems silly but YOU NEED to know what to bring to the National Sports Collectors Convention as well as what not to bring to the 2024 National. This will make your experience, whether one day or five, more enjoyable and easier to handle. The annual event is sensory overload and can be overwhelming if you are not prepared to handle it.

Hope this helps some of you for everyone else that already know, it's all good.
Appreciate the advice. This is my first National, so not sure what to expect other than watching last year youtubes from people. I work in Cleveland so I figure this is my closest shot at attending the National.

Absolutely, the next closest would be Chicago so for sure you picked the right one. It is a good time but a bit of emotional overload when you walk in. haha.. For whatever its worth, I did a different video about success at the National about 2 weeks or so ago. And in a few weeks I am going to try and publish all the freebies and promos that I can find....Nomatter what, remember to have fun but be prepared to be in line for EVERYTHING!! Just have that expectation in your head in advance. If there is anything else I can help with just feel free to ask.

Other than the comfortable footwear... brand new pack of socks. Spend the money and get the socks you like. Put on a new pair in the morning, throw them out when you get back to your room. Your feet will thank you. And if you are flying? even better because you'll have more packing room in your suitcase.

that is hilarious. I have never gone as far as changing out in the middle of the day but I do know a couple of folks that have. Great point on socks..
All Access VIP here, in the Autograph pavilion, will they sign cards you bring or no? Cant find an answer to that or do I need memorabilia? Thank you!

I have seen a mix in the past. Some want you to bring mem or buy there. Others will sign cards. I wish I could give yo a perfect answer but historically it tends to depend. Although, I did not have the time to get in the lines the last year so some things might have changed.

Solid advice a lot of the dealers that are assholes take advantage of the timid. And that’s not cool. Just walk away you don’t have to do a fucking thing.

Exactly. There are thousands of dealers and thousands of others looking to seel always. No reason to deal with it. 1 million percent!
Can I get a card graded at the National? If so, do I get it back that same day, and what is the cost?

Yes, you can. Everything is company dependent . All the majors have drop-off service. A few you can get back by the end of the show or the next day, but that will cost hundreds per card . If valuable enough, it is worth it. Hope that helps
