@@DaveButtons well for starters, the Djinn carefully select those they believe to be worthy of membership. One Warforged Bard, some body scooper bot named Acey, gained patronage with the Djinn Headmaster. His soul was now bound to the plane of air and Akadi would claim him as her own when he died. He gained insurmountable power as a warlock and went on to travel the planes in service of the Noble Djinni.

Really loving this series on the Inner and Outer planes. They have a evocative high-fantasy vibe that most terrestrial D&D campaigns are lacking.
5:40 sounds like hitchhikers guide to flying, simply falling and missing the ground.

Dude, I respect the amount of time you spend finding appropriate imagery. I've been looking at that Aether squall art on my recommended for days.
This is where I always figured Rhexx's home plain was.
Oh wow the Air Dukes of Aaqui were mentioned. I didn't think they would come up, or really remember that they existed, but I think they were mentioned in the Kenku and Aaracokra origin stories. I didn't know they were so crucial in the story of the Multiverse. also I notice there are members of the Cult of the Dragon in the end slate, so I take it the dragon there is going to undergo the ritual to become a Dracolich?
This was one of my favourite episodes, I always considered elemental plane of air to be the one with wasted potential, just floating rocks, but this opened my eyes. Also, I dunno if somoene mentioned it, but there is a silent, constant sound in your recording that makes ears burn after a while of listening with headphones.
Remember, the enemy's gate is down.
So glad we got this before the elemental plane of earth
I’ve been so excited for this video because I wanted to run a campaign arc in the Elemental Plane of Air using a new set of characters. Thank you so much!
Thank you so, so much. My party is gonna be diving into the plane of air soon and I really needed this. Can’t wait to come back with my notes ready to write things down.
Ive always struggled with describing the different planes uniquely to my players, but your videos really help me to visualize how it must be on one of these plains. I hope they keep coming, they are always great to listen to while thinking!

Great video about great plane. I'm DMing a Candlekeep module today about freeing a djinn. And he will take the pcs to elemental plane of air in the ending to show how awesome it is.
This gives me vibes of something i would do in a Lucid dream, just flying through an in an infinite sky.
Nice stuff. Anybody else reminded of Skyrim's Stalhrim when the Eternal Ice was mentioned? Lots of cool stuff in the Plane of Air.
Been watching your videos for about 2 years, the other day I finally played D&D for the first time. That was the most fun I’ve ever had.
You don't even know how perfect the timing was for this. I am DMing a session in the Air Elemental Plane next sunday and this is probably going to save my butt! :D

I've been using your D&D playlist as a sleep aid your voice is calming. Been following you since your Skyrim videos thanks for being you 🌟
I've been working on a campaign setting where the elemental plane of air was mixed into the material plane, and this was super helpful!
I am *absolutely* intrigued by the mention of the 4 winged wizard Sphinx
Nice ! These videos about the planes are so damn cool ! You're a genius communicator, Rhexx
Great video, I love the planes series. Grim Hollow has really come a long way. I can't wait!
Favorite character I ever had was a monk-cleric-assassin with the air and healing domains
Ok that last bit about the queen and her warriors is freaking awesome.
And now I imagine the Fantasia part where you see the flying whales, and that makes me love the Elemental Plane of Air even more.
I recognized that poem! I like how the 3.5 Manual of the Planes made a poem for each plane
I love this series MrRhexx, please keep doing content for as long as you can because I really learn a lot from what you do. Much love 💙💙
Always impressed by your extensive research! Great video!
this is one of the best series so far!
Thank you man. I had no idea about any of this and now that I know it,damn the writing ideas!
For a while now this has been my go-to channel for information on D&D, I don't see that changing in the foreseeable future.
Wait, quick question because this may have been something I missed: do the Aarakocra not have anything to do with the Elemental Plane of Air? I don't think I heard you mention them. Of course, maybe there just wasn't enough time to include them, but I would be interested in a video about them (maybe you've already done one already of course, which would then explain it).
@platiuscyndar9017
3 жыл бұрын
Aarakocra originate from the Elemental Plane of air. That said, any Aarakocra you might encounter in the material plane could very well have been born there, and possibly never even seen the boundless blue considering their short lifespans. Then again, you only need 5 aarakocra to open a portal to it so they might very well have been there anyways.

Definite oversight considering they're a player race heavily tied to the Endless Blue being enemies of creatures of the Anvil and frequently combating them, pretty important stuff
Heck yeah! I was wondering when this video would be made!
I think trying to "fall with style" In the plane of air would be the most interesting application of the perception skill
Listening to many of the features reminds me of the game Sunless Skies, in a good way. It's basically like if space and the Plane of Air were mixed/the same thing, with a lot of earthmotes, gods and epic-scale creatures and forces in an endless airy void, and Victorian Britain tried to conquer it with giant steam locomotives instead of ships. It's as weird and awesome as it sounds if not moreso.
Nice!!👍👍. You just helped me add to my homebrew I'm making! Good stuff, keep it up!
I feel like I've been waiting forever for this. Bless you Rhexx 🙏
In a few of my campaigns the elimental planes are stacked in this order Air, Water, Earth, and Fire. Now with this the planes have borders and will occasionally create chunks of itself within any other plane

When you were doing your series on the strongest monsters by CR, you mentioned that you would cover some of the creatures from other settings as well, did that idea not pan out well enough for a video or did I happen to miss it somehow?
Hearing how gravity works in that plane just makes me think of Super Mario Galaxy
Hey @MrRhexx, I very much enjoy your videos and like to leave them playing for hours on end immersing myself to your beautiful storytelling of DnD's world. JFYI This video has a high pitched ringing sound througout the whole video and makes watching the video very hard.
