Right on. Totally correct. The fact that all the media talk about is lack of pancake lenses, having a cable, no 1st party games and don't even mention the positives like HDR, Oled, foviated rendering and eye tracking Or head haptics, sense triggers etc. Remember the index by valve had one first party game, HL alyx and didn't get all the slagging that PSVR2 got. I have 5 VR headsets including a Quest 3 and I enjoy my PSVR2 the most. Its PCVR quality without the Faff.

👌 great video, sick of the meta fuelled media negativity. And Sony being a Japanese company will never come out shouting back about it, it's against there culture, they never do about anything. They will just drop games randomly like they always do. PSVR2 is a great piece of hardware and there is plenty of hours of games in that library to get through..

It's counter productive a win for any vr platform is a win for vr in general it is already not a very mainstream gaming genre so why fragment it even more . I have a quest 2 , a hp reverb and now a psvr2 they are all great in their own way and all have a place in the eco system.

The issue is quality control. The store doesn’t have any reviews or ratings and there’s no universal agreement on things like DFR and fps. Every game should list those two metrics by default. And the quality control of the headset is abysmal. I’m using my perpetual 3 month warranty on my 4th headset now. All of them have had either uneven displays, dead pixels , or inconsistent mura.

Yes, I think the criticism of PSVR2 is just for clicks, I think very many KZread Creators have to complain to get views. I have been into VR for years, since the first Vive. I have had a Vive, Vive Pro, HP Reverb G2, tried the Vive Pro2 and I currently have a Pimax 12KX and a PSVR2 as my main VR headsets. I think the PSVR2 is fantastic for it's price, with very good features, and I'm looking forward to trying it on PC, since I have a very powerful gaming PC. The headsets I don't like are the Meta Quest and Reverb G2, they are not made for wide IPD's and are uncomfortable. I have an IPD of 75mm, which is extremely wide.

Maybe a good technical article clarifies the differences between Quest3 and PSVR2. Apart from better motion clarity and bigger sweet spot of Quest3, PSVR2 is superior at every level, including colours, black lvls, binocular overlap, FOV, controllers, comfort etc. Motion and sweet spot can also be improved with a few modes on PSVR2. Just yesterday, I was switching between Quest3/AW2 and PSVR2/RE8, and again I couldn’t believe my eyes when playing the factory level of RE8. It feels weirdly real. I’ve never had that feeling with Quest3. It’s just a good VR experience headset, but not a great one for gaming.

I can navigate menus, browse the web, watch regular videos, movies, Netflix, prime or whatever in big virtual screens or fully 360 3D videos without ever needing controllers and solo or with guests. I can use painting apps, modeling apps, archviz apps. Plus my library is stacked with Assassin's Creed, Batman Arkham Shadow, Iron-Man, Hitman, Myst & Riven, Medal of Honor, Tropico, Mudrunner, Asgard's Wrath 2, emulators, full VR mods for old classics like Doom 3, Quake 2, Tomb Raider etc. How's your library going? @@VRnamek I have backlog tbh, but I'm interested in high-end immersive VR gaming and buy my games on Steam and PSN. I use my Q3 for media consumption mainly. If you don't have money and you're fine with mobile low-end gaming, standalone Q3 is a good option. For high-end VR, it's not there yet unfortunately.

Hi, im weighing if any potential gain, because I have just got both quest 3 and psvr2. Psvr2 still sealed in box. Quest used for a week. Had psvr2 before and new one us an exchange due to a lense issue. But I'm considering returning it, I simply don't see the gain. I'm combing through the vr library on ps5, and I'm double checking every title against steam library and quest library. I'm not seeing exclusives that make me want to choose to keep the psvr2, because any I want to play are also on steam. Thing is, with rtx3050 upwards the pcvr with quest is, I dare say imo, as good as psvr2 graphically, and yes I'll say wirelessly. But the psvr2 is the most beautifully bright color fully immersive experience, except for stock earbuds. It's an amazing vr headset. But so is quest, and graphically competitive with pcvr. Difference for me being all the psvr2 exclusive features, haptic, eye tracking, hdr, etc, second to non. But only with ps5. Being a multiplatform gamer, if I keep that beautiful headset and oled screen, to use with PC, (note, psvr2 has higher spec req than quest on pc, not by much, difference between minum 950gtx quest, or 1070 for psvr2. But using it on pc, we know there isn't eye tracking, haptics, and all that good stuff. So for me it really boils down to, do playstation and psvr2 offer me enough EXCLUSIVE titles, and so far, I've seen 2 games on the ps store not on either steam and or quest stores. I got a good summer deal on horizon bundle below £450, but is there enough to keep the psvr2 headset? I'm autistic, I weigh things heavily because it's just how my head works.. But reading this comment.. what do you think? Quest with pc gives quest and steam library of which most titles vr exist cross's platform, in the coming soon on ps store, most are coming soon elsewhere too. Am I going to stay tethered to my ps5 for very few exclusives, BTW, LOVED Call of the mountain (most immersive game played yet), or the vast titles, and pc gamers would argue of slightly higher spec variable on components, most of which shared across Steam and Quest.. Is it worth that extra £450 to me? I haven't found a convincing argument to convince myself just yet, time is ticking on the return.. Id love to get community input. Asked the question to pc users, quest users, and ps5 users. Thanks

@@ComplexAutist Hey there! Welcome to the channel. As for your question, i do believe you should keep your PSVR2 headset. You said there are currently 2 PSVR2 exclusive games, you're wrong. There are actually 7 exclusives: RE8, RE4, GT7, Synapse, Switchback, Firewall Ultra, Horizon, and there are other exclusives coming out in the future like Aces of Thunder. An other reason why you should keep your PSVR2, is because multiplatform games tend to look and run best on PSVR2. That includes hotly anticipated games like Behemoth and Metro Awakening VR. I also think that for PC, PSVR2 is the better option, especially if you already have a PS5. Cheers!

I have both. The PSVR2 hardware is way better than the Quest 2 but only slightly better than the Quest 3. The small sweet spot on the PSVR2 causes eye strain for me. If you think you will get hundreds of hours of play time from RE4/8 and GT7 then the PSVR2 is probably worth it. Otherwise your money is likely better spent elsewhere.

Can't believe psvr2 has only been out for a year and its already done for. Time just isn't on their side, with how long games take to make, and being tethered to a 4year old console. I'm definitely getting because they are cheap used, and now has PC support. I may get a ps5 later for it. Sony made a last gen headset, when they should have made a next gen one. The console is losing its appeal as well. I don't think we need a powerful console, we need more games. The games are lacking, especially for vr. The GPU for PC is just too powerful these days, no console can match that.

The only problem with psvr2 was its time of release. And poor advertising. Due to economy. The other reason Facebook bought oculus out. And been slamming psvr2 on Facebook. Bots write quest 3 being better. But they never reply back , when asked "what is better"? I own all headsets. And my psvr2 is the only one i use. I have compared same games. And prefer psvr2. Everytime I go from quest to psvr2 i say "wow!". If i owned playstation I would make a game like gta5, and rdr2 then gta6 a psvr2 exclusive. That would hurt quest really bad 😂 my dream is to see gta5 in psvr2. Looking as good as gt7 while driving. And looking as good as horizon while walking around. Gta would be an awesome virtual city to hang out in. Gta5 still brings in around 160,000 player a month. And with a good vr mod. I would move into my psvr2 mask. Gta has all games styles in one city. I think you are taking too much hopium or trying to self-justify your purchase. I own PSVR2, PCVR, and Quest 3. The PSVR2 cord is not great, but not a deal-breaker. The tiny sweet spot is bad, at least for me. The non-replaceable controller batteries and short charge life are not great and they have died on me multiple times while playing. I haven't noticed the mura that is supposed to be common. The OLED panels are good, but not good enough for me to rave about. The haptic triggers and headset rumble mean almost nothing to me. The lack of PSVR2 exclusives gives me little reason to buy the PSVR2 version of any game especially when the games are often released on PC and Quest first. There are slightly over 200 VR games on the PS store. How many are there on the Quest store? 1000? How many on Steam? 2000? New Quest games are coming out weekly. How frequently are new PSVR2 games being released? How many of the PSVR2 releases are just half-hearted bad Quest ports? If you love horror games or Gran Turismo and already own a PS5 then PSVR2 is probably a good buy for you. For everyone else, not so much. For me the PSVR2 has settled into mostly a backup position and if I want to play VR I will most likely go to PCVR first and Quest second. As devs learn how to optimize games for the Quest 3 it may pull ahead of PCVR. Sony isn't doing a good job supporting the PSVR2 and has relegated the job to third-party studios. Those third-party studios are unlikely to be able to do the job on their own for much longer. I think we're facing another PS Vita situation.
