What the heck is this thing?!

Hi, and thanks for joining me to take a look at my latest build in progress... The Conquistador Custom Multiscale Electric Guitar! To get the full story on what's happening, check my Insta (link below) and I'll tell you all about it.
Special bigg upps to Royce @deviant.guitars (Insta) for doing my CNC work on this one, as well as installing/leveling frets, installing the truss rod, carbon fibre rods, radiusing the fretboard, doing the inlays just the way I like them; basically he saved my bacon, so please give him a follow and check out his awesome builds.
All music by Jayszun Vanderwerff.

What a stunning guitar. You have a voice for audiobooks. I suspect your channel will be quite popular with ASMR fans.

I love the design and I like that you've put it on an unconventional body shape. Well, Explorer is pretty traditional, but you know what I mean. But also that intro animation! Wow.

Looks like a beauty brother. That platform is going to lead to some amazing finishes too I imagine!

Thank you, I really appreciate that. I'm thinking a low-key matte gold colour to match the Bare Knuckle Polymath pickups- there's more than enough crazy stuff going on in the build itself, so I think keeping the finish subtle might be the move here.

Colin! I'm so glad you were part of its story. Your early visualisation of this guitar drove me to make it a reality. Thank you.

DId I miss a statement about the wood types used for body layers and neck (fretboard was identified)?

Body looks very lite, will neck dive be a problem?

  • @TempleGuitars

It is light, and the neck will definitely dive without an anti-dive strap pin position. I can mitigate that issue, although to be honest for my own guitars I don't really mind. The neck is in my left hand most of the time anyway, and when I tap, a strap with good friction normally stops guitars dropping too quickly. For some people it's a huge deal, for me I don't mind at all. Worth it to get this design I think.

Yes, it is a gorgeous design, and 'outweighs' the minor consequences- will be interesting to see the finishes when done @@TempleGuitars
