In 2018 they also played well but they were unlucky victim of cheating, even as Spanish-french I have to be honest in 2018 Portugal and Spain were saved by referee in their game against Morocco.

Actually i think Morocco played better in 2018, they were outplaying Portugal and Spain but Morocco had that African mentality. Entertain the crowds and viewers and go home after 3 or maybe if they are lucky 4 games.This time, they were the exact opposite. Keeping it strictly business, like the European teams do and it clearly paid off.I loved how they took the 2-2 game of 2018 against Spain in overtime and won the penalties and then meeting Portugal and beating them the exact same way 1-0😂

Morocco 🇲🇦 has really proven that African teams can rise, and I think they're just getting started, there's a lot to see in the future. I think the '26 Cup will see big moves as well, small teams rising to the top. Morocco 🇲🇦 gave great hope to all the players. But we can't ignore the blue samurais 🔴🇯🇵 Also in this cup, they had a strong performance, we have to give them their due. Korea 🇰🇷 was also amazing. Tunisia won 🇹🇳 against France. And Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 won against Argentina. Cameroon won 🇨🇲 against Brazil. The Qatar Cup was really amazing. Sad that it's coming to an end.

The last game there were the most important 4 players for the defense injured...sadly

The Mexican referee made a huge difference for France, he refused to use the Far , and we can all see the video now of how obvious the penalty he ignored for Morocco in the first half. the president of France usually don't go to semi final, and he was sure France would win for some reason.

Macron was planning on going to semi since the begining. There was a missed penalty for morocco but it's mostly due to a bad referee that to any conspiracy. The referee also didn't sanction some clear fouls against France..

I am so proud of Morocco. I am not Moroccan, But Morocco Helped Bring every Muslim, Arab and African Together in such a long time. Everybody cheered for them. Me as a Muslim felt so goddamn proud and happy when they went to the semis. I screamed at the top of my lungs when they scored and won. They even showed what True Islam is through Love and Affection to their people and God. Truly an Amazing team and country. Love You Morocco ❤🇲🇦

those were not pens lol. I'm moroccan and a fan but you're clueless if you think we should have had two pens. We lost sadly despite many many chances. we have poor substitues for forward players. Hopefully in future we will find a good forward/sub and do better!

@@justthebest2531ill referee missed two penalties and gave boufal yellow card for no reason and many fouls weren’t given to morocco And moroccan players played 5 games without showing signs of being tired except for the only game they couldn’t concede a goal in so it sounds a bit weird The game was bought by france and it’s still an african team they won’t want for them to reach finals and win and their coach also changed the tactics even if the ones before were better

The ref gave Les Bleus a free ride ti the final when he turned a blind eye to 2 clear cut penalties for the Morocanns. That's what happened. And VAR was obviously asleep at the time. Les Bleus in final😅😅😅🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Proud of my team beyond words. If we had a good striker, we would have made to the finals. Alas, it was not meant yo be, especially that 5 of the best players got injured early on during the competition, reducing our chances against France. Extremely happy about this exceptional trajectory...We will do our best to come back even stronger in 2026!

@@magician8831 France team is different from the rest Morocco defeated, it was never going to be easy against the likes of them in any case, and sure 2 denied penalties was harsh but even France was denied several fouls in that game as well, it went both sides. I would've been over the top with happiness if Morocco was crowned champions today but I'm seeing this only as excuses.

France was definitely not too much for Morocco. The Moroccan team dominated the game all along and attacked the French goal multiple times. There was obviously at least one penalty that was somehow ignored by both the the referee and VAR team. I believe the first goal was too sudden and quick in the game that it put a lot of pressure on the Lions but they still handled it well. Anyway it's football you win some you lose some . Best of luck to the teams in the final 🇲🇦☝🏽✌🏽

@@goldytwatus1674 no in the semifinal in my opinion the both "fouls" were in the Box but too less for a penalty so mostly the game was okay by the refs. But in 2018 completly different just search for it and tell me this again

Correction : Morocco haven't tried to beat Croatia for the 3rd place qualification, because 80% of the players were heavily injured, therefore the coach decided to just let it go, because he cares about the health of his friends i.e players.

When it comes to muslim nations technically Turkey made it to 3rd in 2002 but they're too secular to count and they're not even arab, while Morocco would definitely take the title being the first arab, muslim and african nation to reach semi-finals. let me tell you about the joy of being a moroccan

they were good in 2018 too. Fifa sabotaged morocco so portugal and spain could escape group stage.

If you were watching the team for a long time, you'd realize that the biggest two things are very obvious; first of all, a chance of mentality, not only them but really most Arabian and African teams had a problematic mentality of "we are just coming to compete/entertain, and HOPEFULLY we will win" with a lack of strategy and organized teamwork. Secondly, the team was already quite strong, but the leadership was always a problem, I'm not gonna diss the previous French coaches, but they didn't understand the players nor let their egos go. Walid was almost like a grandpa to the players, like they're a family and very heartfelt to even convince Ziyech to get back to the team after he departed. Also, obviously, Walid is a very smart and calculative man, he was able to gather some great analytical staff and trainers, whilst also optimizing the players' overall output instead of just relying on individuality. He also did all of that in 3 months?! What he could do in the long term. Honestly, if Walid continues to be the coach with better prep, we could see Morocco take CAF and even get to the quarter/semi finals of WC again.

MEUNIER : " Winning the euros is like winning the world cup !" Poor Italy the euro champions were not even qualified for the world cup. Such arrogance by a defender without knowing that one has to qualify for world cup, even when a team were champions in other tournaments.
