@@owenh.2265 DW is being very remiss here. We wouldn't know about the Jordanian help if it hadnt' been reported elsewhere. The Jordanian Airforce helped in this airdrop as well - they sent fighters to protect our planes. The enemy is Bibi. The US hasnt' sent military aid in months.

@@thomperry1187 Boat access is blocked because Hamas imports weapons by sea. There is also lack of port facilities, suitable for cargo ships. The Gaza port is limited to fishing boats.

Dropping this minimal aid is a public relations exercise, as the reporter said this aid is less than a truck load. Just open the borders and let in the hundreds of trucks needed. As for your comment, you want the people to be thankful for receiving food instead of bombs. Bloody absurd.

They should be making their own weapons. Why is it America’s problem?

How many ppl are still in the north? Like 300k? This would feed about 1/10 for a day or two. Such an empty ineffective gesture, when we can expect the situation to continue (and escalate) for weeks or months. Contrast this with the billions that the IDF got from the US, no strings attached. I guess I am still glad that someone gets to eat something but COME ON! Do better!

It’s the consolation prize for enduring.. I call it BS.. a permanent ceasefire would have been more Consolation than just a few crumbs to get by for a day..

No. It' means you are not smart enough to understand nuance. The US supports the war as a matter of principle but think Israel is too harsh in how it's conducting the war and thinks aid should help the civilian population. You don't to agree with this position but you need to understand there isn't just a binary position in a conflict.

Stop complaining. It's better than nothing and the effort will continue. What's the rest of the world doing, including in the EU? I don't see any airdrops or aid coming in off the sea from the EU or nations in SE Asia. Until a truce is signed and or the aid trucks can get through safely, every bit of aid helps.

It adds pressure on Israel mainly because it's the U.S. taking action with Jordan and other allies of the Palestinians which -- though vastly inadequate -- undermines Israel's genocidal and medieval siege tactic of mass starvation.

I'm sorry, do you not live in the USA? Do you not know that in the USA people can go get all the help they need? Are you unaware of the billions of dollars the US citizens have access to if only they ask for the help? It's true we tend to not give money to drug addicts but their kids can have the food if only their parents would ask for it. There are food kitchens in every town all across the US. If you can't fill out the paperwork there are people there to help you fill it out. And there are no IDF soldiers that will shoot you dead if you come for help. Americans in their own lives have no problems that they didn't create for themselves. Help is available - all you have to do is ask. The government isn't psychic.

Sure we support Israel, and I know we shouldn’t they are doing just fine, I’d say the US should’ve stopped supporting Israel some 15 years ago! No, they are not out of date, question your source. MREs do not have an expiration date, only a pack date and an inspection date. They are made to last a long time, 3 to 5 years, much more in cooler temps.

israel systematically destroyed most or all boats months ago. it also lays claim to all the seas off gaza. do you actually think it hasn't occurred to people in gaza, a place where 10 people currently die of starvation a day and hundreds die from israeli warfare, to catch fish? are you actually connected to reality at all?

Man you people have a headline like you’re never happy …. You ask for aid to Gaza then complain when they send more …. Then you want a ceasefire but forget that Hamas said they would keep doing what they did over and over again …. They have to be done for …. Gazan people need to stop supporting Hamas and give them up as well …

It isn't Khamas who's denying the ceasefire, it's the US who has signed atleast two vetos to prevent a ceasefire despite every country besides France, Germany and Italy wanting one
