I hope your channel grows. You make extremely good content and it goes in depth about things people don't normally talk about(specifically about Webcomics)

These videos are so helpful and insightful! Really appreciate the advice for my own Webtoon comic. I may have to revisit my first episode that I posted because I really like the idea about verbalizing a question for the reader. Can’t wait for more videos!

ehh, I am in the process of redrawing my first chapter and prologue (my webcomic is 10 years old now). I am at peace with this decision despite everyone advising against it. The only set back is it has taken me a crazy amount of time to get it done because the normal updates still continue, so i do a little bit of work on it when i can. But I think it makes sense for me to do this because I will be taking apart this art anyways to convert it to a webtoons format, I might as well make a more engaging and better drawn first chapter that fixes all the story telling mistakes (I can forgive my bad art, but if the story is badly executed then there is no way around it).

Congrats on 10 years! I’m new to your comic but love the look of it. I’m excited to read it. I totally appreciate going back and making changes - especially after a decade. Jeff Smith’s webcomic Tuki won an Eisner and yet he recently revised it for a new version. my caution is mostly for newer cartoonists who can get caught in that hesitancy loop where the first episode is never good enough to launch. I hope they have your confidence to launch and commitment so that they can look back with a decade of experience and see the revisions they need to make. Or at least love the mistakes and idiosyncrasies they’ve grown out of.

I did the same thing with mine but I paused the regular updates in favour of the remakes. I’m actually a lot happier with the series now and it’s going in a way more solid direction than it would’ve if I’d let things lie. I think I started it too young.

Do questions need to be legit questions or can they be questions created by the episode progress? I.e. questions that will naturally form in a reader's mind when being presented with a mystery

That’s a great question. I don’t think the questions need to be explicitly asked but I do think it helps if there’s a character in the story which cares about the mystery and who can make that concern clear to the reader. I think most readers enter a story with a curious mindset and that’s something we can leverage to keep them reading.

What? No one else commented? Just me and the fellow with the weird profile pic? Okay. That's unfair.

I’m tweaking the 1st chapter to my GN - not the same thing, but this video is encouraging.
