Awesome video Jay, as a beginner trophy hunter myself this video is amazing to know what to expect in some of the games I do plan onto trying out, even while limited to PC I was able to knock out some of the hardest titles on this list such as Hollow Knight and Wolfenstein 2 (I do share the pain you had during these lol) many more titles you showed in this video seems very interesting and I will take a look into them, probably the south park ones as I already own them on steam! Also love your stance on ratchet and clank games, I absolutely love them though I'm more of an OG, I only played them on the ps2. Maybe they'll release them on PC someday! Keep up the great work, amazing editing and I'm personally really looking forward to your next upload!

@@Jay_CB I just finished GTA V after all these years and it was a grind so I’m trying to find something a lot easier to platinum now. I think I’m going to do the Walking Dead telltale game which is a guaranteed platinum since it’s just to finish the story. I played it back when it first came out on ps3 but that was on a different account. After that I’ll probably do some games that you showed in your collection.

You have great editing and presentation! I'm astounded by that 40 hour HK. I think I was well into the three digits, though I do obsessively search places and play as blind as possible in games I enjoy. But yeah 40 is nuts. On the other hand I did Crash trilogy in sub 30 hours combined, so we were like opposites there. I'm curious how long you think I might need for 4. I already bought it a while back, but I've been scared of getting wrapped up in it and it genuinely sounds like an insane challenge. I'm also curious how long your second run took. Lot of good games on the list. I get the impression we both had those collectaphon Playstation 3D games as our childhoods lol. Makes me wonder if I was missing something by missing the Sly series. Also you're a lunatic for those back to back plat days with +10 hours played lol. If you're looking for recommendations - I saw you speedran CTR, so I'm assuming you enjoyed it. I think Wipeout Omega has some of the most enjoyable and beautiful racing ever, and achieving mastery of it is incredibly satisfying. Probably my favorite platinum (I'm not much of a hunter, but I gravitate towards difficult, but well made games). It's a brutal journey, but in a fair rewarding way. I don't think the journey would be that much longer than the '40' quoted for CTR. There is a couple online trophies. Nothing skill based, but you should double check if online is still up before buying just in case, but yeah it's a fantastic game. I was gonna say where's all the Dark Souls and suggest that, but I see you had a discovery this year. Surprised 2 would be take so short and 3 so long. I always take forever because I love those games and just blindly tread in them. Anyways thats enough waffling. Oh and my sister has same bday weird.

Thanks man I really appreciate these comments. I put in a lot of effort in making these videos. Believe it or not I played Hollow knight mostly blind. When I started it I just wanted to finish it. I shouldve taken my time and enjoyed longer but I loved it so much I couldn't stop playing it. I can't wait for silk song! I'll have to look into wipeout I never heard of it before but I do like kart racing games so I'll have to look it up. Haha the reason why dark souls 3 took me so long was because it was my first time recording gameplay and I would be afk a lot figuring out OBS or my mic setting stuff like that. Funny enough dark souls 2 was the one I enjoyed the most. I'm going to get demon souls and sekiro eventually too. I'll have to come back here on our birthdays to wish your sister happy birthday! Lol thanks again for these amazing comments.

The dark souls series is really good. I would recommend that over anything else on my list. The horizon games are also really nice and I think they're free. The Last of Us series is also pretty fun. They're all like 30-40+ hours to platinum. The dark souls series does have some confusing parts though. What are you playing currently??

I've done over 20000 hours and it's like games rarely phase me nowadays.

I platted, and 100%d all 5 fallout games (3, 4, NV, Shelter, 76), and let me tell you, props for platting those fallout games, not easy plats but very fun and wasn’t so bad for me because I’ve put thousands of hours into the games collectively, I currently have 26 plats and I’m looking to grind more, I’ll definitely have to check some of these titles out

Yeah even though they're long platinums they're really enjoyable to earn. I want to do 76 eventually. I also need to get fallout 4s dlc and get those trophies. @@Jay_CB mine is either NV or 3 both have a special place in my childhood and carry a lot of nostalgia, some of my more difficult/rare plats are the first remnant and DBD, which has an auto pop between ps4 and 5 versions. I’m working on remnant 2 and deep rock galactic currently, good luck with those FO4 DLC trophies, nuka world has some grindier ones from what I remember, but nothing was as grindy as 100 fallout shelter quests, even cheesing it you can still expect to spend several days grinding them out, that one took me 5 years of casual play to plat🤦‍♂️

What an amazing trophy list. It's crazy how you have platinum Crash 4 twice. That's insane. So people can't even platinum that game once. Lol. God tier list. You should definitely go for Crypt of the necrodancer necrodancer and Outlast 2

Thanks man! Crash bandicoot is one of my favorite game series so I had to get it twice! Lol I would love Crypt of the Nectodancer plat but that's like a year commitment. Maybe one day if I ever have thousands of subs lmao but I will have outlast 2. That is on my list of games I want to make a video for! Also thanks again for watching all my videos and leaving comments. It really does mean so much to me!

Super Meat Boy is a different beast. It's not that long hours wise, but it's complete mastery. Very brutal I never went for it. Forgot to mention Sekiro is an incredible game. You should definitely do it and DeS. Nioh 2 is supposed to be fantastic as well, I'll do it eventually. One thing I'd caution you about is Crypt of the Necrodancer. Just don't touch it if you care about % completion. Don't even get started on the journey. Pantheon 5 is for lunatics. SMB is for beyond lunatics. Necrodancer is not in the same stratosphere of anything else on any list (well anything that isnt functionally broken or requiring you to be the #1 on an active pvp leaderboard). If the regular scale goes up to 10/10 Necrodancer is 26/10. For perspective it's a purely skill based game that could theoretically be done in a couple hours without particularly good RNG. The median time people have taken with the plat iirc is 7000 hours. That's not a typo. This is not relaxed gameplay either, probably the last 80% of that is very very high stress. Like if you mess up one input out of the 4-6 you need to make every second you immediately lose a 15min run kinda ordeal. I genuinely suspect people shorten their their life span a bit doing it lol. I think fastest self-reported plat was ~3k hours and everyone was amazed. Just giving you a big warning since you targeted SMB for your 100th and might think to chase even higher heights. I think almost anything else is fair game, but don't get Icarus'd. SMB will be brutal, but ultimately you'll get it done if you want to, probably in sub 100 hours and you'll probably enjoy a good part of the journey. Necro on the other hand is complete unmitigated insanity. You'd be better off going for a competitive speedrun wr.

Yeah bro I have NO plans on attempting crypt. Maybe if the KZread channel takes off one day and I have the time but like you said people probably have shortened their lives because of it. I'm not looking for that kind of stress. Spelunky 2 already gave me grey hairs lol. I've been mentally prepared for SMB for a while now though and I can't wait to get that platinum!

I should correct myself that apparently 7k hours I quoted was actually for something else (either one of the DLC trophies or a particular challenge run I can't remember which). But the regular plat is still likely into 4 digit hours and the experience for most of that is brutal. I'm glad you're not considering it lol. I played Crypt to the point I beat the character who dies on missed beat or any damage. It took a lot of gameplay to get there, and I think I was genuinely ~1/10th the way skill wise of being able to get the plat. I was satisfied with that and noped out. Anyway just saying from experience, you better be getting good money out of clearing it lol. So maybe if you get huge and got a loyal Twitch following to watch the suffering, but otherwise no. I'm looking forward to that SMB video. I think you'll be able to do it and actually enjoy a lot of the run. Also I watched the Wolfenstein video now. Congrats! That thing looked brutal. Especially when you got robbed. Happy to see you got there in the end.

Does Far Cry 6 have matchmaking or is it like 5 and New Dawn where it is invite only? I just recently got 4's multiplayer trophies which have been broken for 8 months until they started working again a few days ago. Hmmm I know Skyrim has a lot of glitched trophies but I personally didn't run into any problems when I played it. I usually look up if a game has glitched trophies before I consider playing it. The Lego games are just kind of buggy in general so I would avoid those even though they're easy platinums. If I were to recommend a game off my trophy list it would be either cuphead or hollow knight. Hollow knight is pretty challenging though.

I have 69 plats my best pkats id say are fortnight fall guys bo3 and gta5 just the sheer grind on these games made them hard imo and thats y they top my list

@@Jay_CB deep rock is so fun and you should definitely play it that being said be prepared for some really difficult trophies and your longest grind for a platinum multiple hundreds of hours are required (don't let that stop you from playing) as for my next hard platinum I have a few that I'm trying to get done.. Aliens fireteam Elite a fun but very difficult game I got from ps+ some months ago... You NEED teammates to complete it and very good ones at that.. super Monkey ball Banana Mania... There aren't really any platinum guides on this one and it will be my most rare platinum if I get it with only just over 100 people having the platinum... Also a very fun but extremely hard game to platinum..

Hmmm so imo the Pantheon of Hallownest was harder than everything but the main game wasn't that hard. Same with Wolfenstein 2 mein leben is difficult but the other trophies weren't so bad. Crash 4 platinum overall is the hardest just because you have to do more challenging trophies. Mein leben and P5 are mind games like how long can you stay calm and collected without losing focus lol I'm sure some people might disagree with this take.

As you get older you are going to realize that you wasted a ton of time grinding for trophies. Think of all the other games you could have experienced or productive things you could have done. I quit going hard for achievements years ago when I realized how little they matter and nobody really cares but the player. I don't give a shrap about what achievements my buddy got. I personally find the goals in the games to be enough. Most games are so long and padded these days that trophies are not needed for replay value or prolonging play time. I want to get old and say that I was able to play pretty well every game I wanted to. The other side of the coin is dying with a huge backlog that you never experienced, but hey, you would have all those virtual trophies you could look at. Why not just boot up the game and show off your save after you beat the game if it is a sense of pride or something? Colossal waste of time imo but, to each their own. Trust me, you will get this one day.
