Hi everybody! It's Mike, part time reselling in the Pittsburgh area. And time for What Sold This Week on eBay for June 25th, 2024.
Thanks to the last item in the video, it was a good week for me. But I always say, a good week for me is a bad one day for the big resellers. I'm just doing this part time.
One thing you may notice is there was a couple items where my profit was more than the item sold for. This happens when I get something kinda heavy for cheap and sell it. eBay gives sellers a discount on shipping. An exaggerated example is, the buyer might get charged $25 to ship something but it might actual cost me only $15. So I made $10 off the shipping. I usually keep that money myself to help offset the cost of supplies and boxes, plus the eBay fees. BTW, eBay takes fees off that $25 the buyer got charged. Meaning, the $25 is rolled into the total that eBay takes its fees from.
As I always mention, these are the items that sold. Don't take it to mean that everything I buy I end up reselling at a profit like some other videos may lead you to believe. Currently, I have 153 items on eBay which is a combination of things I bought that haven't sold yet and things I got for free. So I've made zero profit on those so far. I think some videos maybe gloss over the things they buy that never sell.
