Victron Phoenix 12V 1200VA Inverter: cleversolarpower.com/go/CC12V...
In this video, I talk about what size inverter for 100Ah battery. Join me as I break down the complexities and provide straightforward answers to crucial questions like what size inverter for a 100Ah battery and how to size a battery for your inverter.
I'll cover everything from calculating the ideal inverter for both lithium and lead-acid batteries to exploring different voltages and capacities. Plus, I'll show you how to determine how long a 12V 100Ah can power a 1000W load.
When it comes to lithium batteries, I recommend sticking to a maximum of 1000W, while for lead-acid batteries, aiming for around 200W per 100Ah battery is ideal. By understanding these key principles, you'll be able to optimize your off-grid solar power system for maximum efficiency and longevity.
And don't worry-I won't leave you hanging when it comes to practical applications. I'll provide real-world examples and walk you through the calculations step by step, ensuring you have all the information you need to make informed decisions for your solar setup.
But that's not all. I'll also tackle the important question of standby power consumption and recommend the top-notch Victron phoenix inverter lineup, known for its superior performance and energy efficiency.

Great video. I love your animated pen technique... question: You suggest a fuse per battery prior to connecting to the bus in a parallel setup. The lithium batteries I use have a solid 200a BMS which shuts off with a short or other over-current situation. Is an MRBF fuse on each battery necessary? (the after-bus-bar [positive line does have a 200a fuse).

Hi, Nick. I just came across your channel the other day and have learned a lot already after watching just a few of you tutorials. One thing that I learned... I have been making some very wrong assumptions about size and capacity. On my RV I currently have 2 - 100W solar panels, 2 -125 AH AGM batteries, all wired in parallel. I have them connected to a 40 amp EPever charge controller and to a 2500 W Sunforce Pure sine wave inverter. Problem... this set up will not run my microwave or coffee maker without tripping the cut-off circuit in the inverter. I have recently acquired two 300 AH Renogy Lifepo4 batteries, not yet installed. Will this solve the issue with tripping the inverter or am I missing something altogether? And do I need to resize my inverter to take the new batteries? Your comment or those from other followers of your channel will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

This will work. Every battery can deliver a max of 100A. Since they are placed in series, this is the max then can deliver, so each battery 50A. 1500W/24V=63A -> correctly sized.

I just ordered a 500W Bestek inverter to get myself acquainted with using inverters as an alternate power source. So in theory, 12V 50ah Lithium Battery suffices for 500W inverter based on calcs ... but do you still recommend a 12v 100ah lithium battery and, if so, why?...Without doing the calcs, it seems i can potentially get longer usage with the 12v 100a battery on a 500W inverter before recharging, but I would like to know your thoughts? I don't intend to max the load at one time, so my usage at this state in learning to use inverters would be light intermittent use (i.e a lamp periodically, charging my lap top periodically, charging phones , and maybe running my wifi for short intervals).

More batteries is better (most of the time). You got to see that the system is still properly sized. Batteries should have 3 days of autonomy. So if your daily consumption is 800Wh, then you don't need an extra battery. You can charge the batteries with 2A, the charging current doesn't matter that much, it just impacts charging time.
