Great video! Can my barber continue to cut my hair afterwards? Let's say in 3wks after you completed your final session.

I mentioned to my practioner that I used caster oil on my scalp (it was over 7 days after the last treatment), and she said "oh my god, why would you do that?" Apparently caster oil draws out the pigment. The product was marketed to make thin hair appear thicker. They didn't really tell me all these rules where I went.

Good video on after care for SMP. I got SMP yesterday. They left black ink all over my head said I can wipe off with damp cotton balls after. Should I leave ink on for 4 days. I look like someone put show polish on me.

Hi, quick question about long term aftercare, can you use salicylic acid (BHA) on your scalp after SMP as an exfoliation product, as i use it in my daily skincare routine right now and it really help with removing dead skin cells. I read that AHA acids like glycolic acid should be avoided, does the same apply to salicylic acid? Thanks for any answers

Any recommendations on what to wash my head/scalp with in the shower

I wasn't told that..I did wash my hair when i got back home gently..this was my second treatment ..will this give me bad results ?

Can you put on monoxidle after smp or would it affect that pigmentation.Also what about after shave on your head?

Apparently, alcohol can affect and part wipe out the pigments. So, no aftershave.

Should I moisturize my head a couple times a day after each session?

One thing that I have been noticing when it comes to sweating after SMP is that no one has a measure of how much you can exercise after getting the SMP. I don't want to become a blob for 40 days and it sure is happening quickly. What is a reasonable measure of how hard you can exercise? Everyone sweats differently. Thanks.

How about if I just take a bath without putting any water on my scalp at all. But dude, I gotta bathe daily. What about just sitting in a tube and bathing??

If I was using a dermaroller with hair serum before scalpmicropegmentation how much i should wait after finishing the process to reiniciate my scalp routine and thank u

Aloha Jebran, you should wait at least 4 weeks before dermarolling again. It is microinjury and you want to avoid that until your SMP is fully healed.

What to do if you had it done but your scalp is dry. It seems my scalp peels and in turn, the smp fades with it. What can I do to help resolve this issue? I go in for my last 3rd session soon but feel like the dry scalp is defeating the purpose. Thank you.

Hi so I had my smp done over a year ago, and would like to ask a few questions about aftercare. firstly its very hard to find sun tan lotion without cetyl alcohol in it. even the children sun cream has this ingredient, is this fine to use once you have completely healed. also i have been using johnsons baby lotion to moisturise my scalp daily. there are types of alcohol in this product, so again once your smp has completely healed is it ok to use.

Instead of baby lotion, get ‘Bee Bald Smooth plus daily moisturizer with SPF 30’. They have their store on Amazon and it’s not expensive, plus it smells good (unlike most SMP client geared moisturizers). You kill 2 birds with one stone with it. If you’re going to the beach or going to be in the sun for a prolonged time, get SunBum SPF 50 and wear a hat whenever you can. It’s what I do at the beach and take it off only to go into the water.

Shea butter is the way Togo or coconut oil. Stay away from absolutely anything that has chemicals in it.

I am of warafarin( blood thinner) after my AVR surgery and I wish to get my scalp micropigmentation. How safe it is?

I had the first session yesterday. The clinic said the second session will be in 3 weeks and I can wash my hair right away with Baby shampoo 😟

This is nonsense. You can wet shave with no issues whatsoever. ideally wait a couple of weeks but it will not affect the lifespan of the ink at all. Don't listen to silly comments like this

Always use an electric shaver. When you wet shave, you always shave of a little bit of skin also and that makes your SMP fading much quicker.
