This is why she was one of my favourite Bridgertons from the books, you kinda stick out like a sore thumb when all your siblings are outgoing and you’re the introverted one that always keeps to yourself. So, can you help me understand the difference in the characters? So Francesca is more withdrawn and reserved and Eloise is withdrawn but more so in a “I want nothing to do with higher society and getting married” kind of way? More of a rebel? I read different things about Francesca’s character, and I felt like she was very similar to Eloise’s character, but many people tell me that they’re quite different.

@@hithisismyusername Eloise is not withdrawn at all, she's boisterous and has many passions and interests. Francesca is much more shy and introverted than the other siblings but I wouldn't say withdrawn. She just wants peace. Hope that helps!

@@starryxblue perhaps withdrawn is the wrong word choice, but I meant that she wants to withdraw from the expectation she’s supposed to fulfill and live up to and high society’s rules for young ladies altogether. I guess when I’ve heard people refer to Francesca as the outcast or black sheep, I was confused because that seems to describe Eloise. I understand Francesca’s character a bit better now after seeing the first part of season 3.

Oh my goodness if she ends up having social anxiety like many of us, it would be very relatable.

More anxiety propaganda only leads to more people diagnosing themselves with a form of social anxiety. Representation of mental health issues leads to a rise in the incidence of those issues, so I disagree.

@@parafraceren except u CAN self diagnose social anxiety, because that is exactly what they have, anxiety to having to be around people (social) .

I can’t wait to see Francesca’s role in this season. I’ve always been disappointed that we didn’t see much of her in the last two seasons. But so far, she’s fully impressed me. Her book is one of my favorites. I think I will like her even more than Eloise.

Love how she portrays being anxious and being an introvert when her smile reduces and anxiety kicks in when lady whistledown says the word quiet!

It seems that for season 3 Penelope and Francesca want to be each other. Penelope wants to be noticed so she can marry. Francesca wants to fade into the background.

So glad they changed her actress to her current. She is so pretty and plays the character perfectly. I can feel the butterflies and overwhelming self in her scenes. Her small smiles fit too. I love how she wants a more simple life and self

She’s more stunning than Daphne because she’s shy and unassuming, whereas Daphne was overly confident and a bit entitled. It’s like Francesca is more beautiful because she doesn’t know that and she doesn’t care as much. She has more depth and complex than many of the shallow yet delightful characters.

Ruby was hardly in the series. She was more of a cameo guest star. But it looks like they will expand on Francesca's role this season. The new actress is a stunner.

…her setup in this season is literally crucial. Her season won’t make sense without it. A side plot compared to Polin, perhaps, but still important (certainly more than some of the other side plots)

I love her but I wish they weren't using so much of Pen's time to get ready for her season.

I like book Pen better but I did not like how she waited for Colin for almost 11-12 years and never thought of marrying someone else to get out of the house even when she knew it was unrequited love. And LW is not so much a bully in book than in the show. I watched S3 for Kanthony crumbs, my capybara Benedict, Frenchesca and Peneloise friendship arc rather than Polin.

Her book is the best one of the entire series.

I don't like where the story is going.

I am an introvert, and I tend to recharge my energy by being alone or in calm environments. This doesn’t mean that I’m always quiet or that I can’t enjoy a dance or a party; I simply need more time alone later on to feel renewed. I hate that the introverts are always painted as antisocial, barely talking, or being very shy, because not all introverts are like that. In fact we plenty enjoy talking when they conversation is interesting to us.

She's the one who looks like violet the most. The casting of this show is impeccable

if we get to see the Sterlings this season, I will simply fall on the floor and die a happy woman. I just finished reading Francesca's book and it's amazing.

@@hunnycombss Apparently the author agreed to the change when the producer (or director? or writer?) asked her. I know a series will never be able to reflect thebook 100% and taking creative liberties is fine... but that type of change? It's not the same story anymore. It's just disappointing.

I’m soo excited for part 2

I really enjoyed her character, probably my favorite sibling along with Hyacinth who has a ton of fun energy

She’s an autistic child. Prefers and thrives as a loner. Gets tongue tied when she’s severely anxious. Uses language as needed and prefers silence as her form of expression. Incredibly gifted as a pianist and composer etc….. The show highlights her differences without labeling her. Good portrayal of character and great writing of her story line.

You know I love her so much. I love Francesca and not that much of a screen time in Netflix, but I am excited for this season not only for Penelope but for Francesca because I cannot wait for her much much much much much screen time.

Eloise seems fine around people, she just doesnt like most people. Shes not really introverted and shy, shes just easily annoyed it seems and she thinks most things around her are stupid...which comes with a slight ungratefulness for her priviledge.
