What Secrets Does This New Permission Hold? | Metal Detecting UK

In this episode I am joined by Mr Tweed on a brand new and exciting permission! We have targeted some old orchard grounds that lay very close the main house and there was a recorded settlement site here since the medieval times.
Can we find anything on our first visit? Will we get cold and wet?
Hit play and come along for the day while we soak up the sights and sounds of the beautiful English countryside on a brisk and cold autumn day.
Feel like I have earned a donation? Everyone that can donate will get a special mention in my next video to say thank you... Please remember - its not expected but it is very welcome.

Exactly the sort of weather we expect here in British Columbia this time of year. Makes detecting all that more challenging. I can definitely relate. Thanks for sharing your finds.

    - Lovely work mate (and fab finds, partic. with that gorgeous Wiii Silver 😍 ). - I think you need to get Mr. T. to do some of the filming - mebbe slow 'im down a little?... 😂 Btw I tried your technique the other day, (buried my Eddie Penny, inc. sliding it under the virgin soil - but only to about 7" down, ...). But yeah, the D2 fairly banged it out with my 'Nuts' settings!... 😂 I'm hopin' to get an 'extended type' shovel soon - so will do the tests with the coin a bit deeper... Anyways, thanks again - it's a great tip, and will at the very least inspire confidence on the day, hey wot?... Take care then Michael an' thanks as ever, Bobby 🙏🏻

Hey Bobby, even at 7inches I’d be happy pulling out an Eddie. The trick is more about making sure your setup for your ground and every field is different so depth isn’t the most important part of doing it bud. The Christmas special is coming and I have a dastardly plan to slow me tweed down so get ready for that 👍👍

Nice shilling👍but I heard the much misused phrase “gold gilded”🤦🏻‍♂️. By definition covering with gold is gilding so no need for the use of the word gold. Cover with some other metal and it is called plating. People get confused because they have heard the term ‘Silver gilt’ which means that it is silver covered in gold (gilded silver) and therefore not the same as silver plated. Got that off my chest!

Hey Mick, great advice matey. I had never considered that Gilded actually means it’s covered in gold so I will take your advice from now on and thank you for letting me know buddy 👍👍
